"Maybe. But for the moment, you're tiny and short. Just the right size for getting into mischief." The medicine cat laughed.
She then turned toward the large rock, ears pricked.
Runningwind turned and padded over to sit below Cliffstar's rock, motioning for her kits to sit beside her. -
The kits both went to their mother without pause. Well except Lionkit who couldn't sit still so he started to play with the dirt. Skykit wrinkled her nose at her brother and sat in between her mothers paws and away from the dirt her brother was kicking up.
Stormgaze smiled slightly. "Lionkit will make a fine warrior.. I do feel bad for whoever becomes his mentor.. He'll be stubborn." He chuckled and pulled himself to all four paws before padding towards the High Rock. There he found himself a spot on the edge of the clan and looked up towards his leader. -
Squirreltail giggled and nodded before following Stormgaze.
Maybe Stormgaze could become deputy? )
"As you all know, Bluetail (random name) has joined Starclan. It is time for me to choose a new deputy for the clan." -
Cloudstep bowed her head at the mention of Bluetail sadly.
Runningwind knew what was coming. She felt bad, but couldn't help but wish she was kitless so she would've had a chance at deputy. She wrapped her tail around Lionkit, trying to still him. -
Lionkit huffed and looked up at his leader with bright eyes. Neither kit knew who Bluetail was. They went still as they looked up at the leader with big eyes.
(Dosent matter~)
Stormgaze went quiet at the mention of Bluetail. The two had been friends, decent ones at that. His head dropped slightly and he wrapped his tail tightly around his paws and sighed quietly. -
Okie dokie)
"Starclan has given me a sign, and the new deputy," The brown tabby took a small step forward. "Will be Stormgaze."
Squirreltail looked over at the gray tom with a smile. "Wow, congratulations!" -
Cloudstep purred in approval.
Runningwind glanced over at Stormgaze with a faint smile. "Congrats." -
The kittens purred. "Stormgaze!" They called a few times as did others in the calm before it quieted down.
Stormgaze was startled and lifted his head with wide eyes. Blinking he nodded his thanks before jumping up to meet his leader. "T-thank you." He bowed his head towards his leader and purred loudly. -
Cliffstar dipped his head to the new deputy with a small smile. "May you lead this clan well when I can lead it no longer." He announced, before dismissing the clan and jumping off the boulder.

Cloudstep started back toward her den.
Runningwind looked down at her kits "You two be good, and don't bug the others. I'm going to...take a nap." She said, and started toward the Queens den. -
Lionkit huffed and darted off to find something to do. He sniffed around and bumped into the medicine cats den. "Huh.." He snuck inside and sniffed around the herbs. Skykit yawned and padded after her mother. "Mother, can I take a nap too?" She called and licked her mothers soft fur along her leg.
Stormgaze dropped down and looked around with new eyes. He felt the same.. Of course he would! How silly.. He thought. He shook his head and began gathering cats for a morning patrol. -
Squirreltail padded over to the new deputy with a small smile. "Mind if I go on patrol too?" She asked.

Cloudstep blinked, glancing over at Lionkit. "Can I help you?" She purred in amusement.
Runningwind smiled, and muzzled Skykit affectionately. How could she even of began thinking of trading these bundles of fur for a few more thrills.
"Of course, sweetie." She purred, and padded into the den, laying down. -
Lionkit sneezed and jumped in surprise. "I'm... Just looking around." He said with a duck of his fluffy head. In truth, he had smelled something amazing and wanted to taste it. "I'm sure Skykit will want to work with you when we become apprentices." He yawned slightly.
Skykit bounced towards her mother and curled herself up into the warmth of her belly fur. Yawning sleepily she soon fell asleep to the sound of her purring mother and the scent of warm milk.
Stormgaze nodded. "Come on then, you're on hunting patrol with me." He mused and the two groups headed out. Stormgaze led them towards the thickest part to find more rabbits. -
Squirreltail was practically bouncing with excitement, though for the sake of the hunt she tried to suppress her jittery eagerness. Instead she raised her muzzle and tried to scent out some prey. A warm breeze blew by, carrying the scent of rabbits. She smiled a little to herself and licked her muzzle, imagining the fat, juicy rabbits they were bound to catch.
Cliffstar glanced one last time around the camp before padding into the medicine den. A few days ago he'd got a scratch from an embarrassing incident with a bramble thicket, and the small wound hadn't seemed to heal much since. Cliffstar decided he would have Cloudstep check it, just to be safe.
