Hearing Cly's whimpers, Cyril began to worry, she oaused at the bottom of the stairs, watching him silently. She took in the large bottle and the anxious wolf, but she wasn't sure how or if she should intervene.
-
Alex sunk to the ground and looked at the wall. "I just.. I don't know." He shrugged and took another long sip before rubbing his face. Cly laid down at his feet an huffed at his master.
-
Cyril continued to watch. Don't know? Don't know about what...? she leaned forward, listening closely.
Gtg! Be on tomorrow!) -
He groaned softly and closed his eyes, leaning his head back. "She just.. Just makes me feel human." He whispered the last part and rubbed his face again before running a hand through his hair and tugging at it's ends.
(Goodnight!!) -
He couldn't be...talking about...me, could he...? Her eyes widened slightly and she turned to go back upstairs. Her plan was to leave quietly so he didn't notice she had been there, so she hoped he hadn't heard her footsteps on the stairs as she ran back to her room.
-
Alex head lifted as he heard her footsteps run upstairs. "Well f---.." He muttered and stood up. He was surprised when the bottle was half empty. Shaking his head slightly he made his way upstairs and paused at her door way. Should he go in or should he go to and try to go to bed?
-
Cyril sat on her bed thinking. Her cheeks were tearstained, but she was done cryin for now. She was mulling over everything that happened. Everything she'd heard. Wondering if it was actually possible that he had been talking about her.
-
Alex peeked into her room and watched her for a moment. He could tell that she wasn't asleep by the rise and fall of her chest. Cly suddenly hit the back of Alex's knees and any him sprawling into her room, and he landed face first.
-
Cyril jumped off the bed and squeaked in surprise - she seemed to be doing that a lot lately. She immediately knelt down at his side, momentarily forgetting the previous events. "Are you okay?" She gazed down at him, a little concerned. Sure, he had only fallen, but if he'd landed on his shoulder or something it wouldn't be good.
-
Alexander grunted rolled onto his back, looking up at her with a cocky smile. "Of course I am." He chuckled and brushed back a strand of her hair, tucking it securely behind one of her ears.
-
She forced a small smile and tried not to lean into his touch. She was still a little frightened of the way he'd acted before. Like a predator, ready to strike, his eyes glowing in the darkness and his cloak stained with blood... She looked down. She couldn't meet his eyes yet. Then it dawned on her. He's been drinking. He wasn't mad at her, probably because he was drunk. Great. In the morning he'd be hungover and mad. She wasn't looking forward to that.
-
"Hey.." Alex blinked up at her and frowned. "You're scared of me." He said it as a statement then a question. He could feel her fear inside of her, it hurt. "Please don't be.." He looked away and rubbed his face with one hand.
-
"N-No, I'm not..." She protested meekly. The truth is, she was afraid. The way he'd glared daggers at her when she tried to hold him back, the ice in his voice when he'd ordered her back to the house. But now, he seemed like a completely different person. Almost vulnerable. It confused her.
-
"Ooookay." He rolled his eyes and propped himself up on his elbows. He looked towards the door and yawned sleepily. It was almost sunrise, he should probably take her home at some point today or at night.
-
She couldn't resist smiling. The normally dignified half-demon looked so out of place propped up like that, yawning. "So...you're not...mad?"
