(Anyways. The ancient magic that you told about was from your brother's curse. He knew we'd be in the city since the person who needed the chest was there so he cast a ghastly spell upon the entire town. The reason why it's so damn cold is because death is literally in the air, causing everything to seem frigid and freezing. The denizens there haven't noticed us yet because they're actually ghosts from a long, long time ago, I'm talking in AT-LEAST the thousands of years ago, and half of the city is actually an illusion.)
(However, once Melerath decides to show his ugly face, he rises from wherever a graveyard may be [you decide], and brings the numerous dead, mummified corpses back to life, effectively making them zombies. Not only that but the cursed ghosts there also make a return [I'd say due to a deal with Melerath but it's really up to you], and we must face both the zombies and ghosts. Then, at the end of the city, in the graveyard, we finally face Melerath.)
(So essentially, the city is ancient and cursed, the ghosts were bound to it by evil magics, Melerath was the cause of the curse, anticipating our return[?] to the city, and effectively traps us there. Before we can escape the city [by any means], we must slay Melerath and his hoard of deathly citizens. That sound reasonable?) -
Raz nods at jinx and goes to the half elf walking away from the crowd.
