She sighed lightly and walked him back to her home, she shivered a bit and opened the door when they got back. Walking in, she placed the soaked cloak onto a post in the wall.
-
"You just can't make up your mind, can you?" He huffed as he got inside.
He took off his cloak as well, and glared "One second I'm to leave, the next second I'm to come back." -
She turned and looked at him. "Shut up will you?" She started putting logs in the chimney and sneezed again. "Damn it." She pulled out a small match and light it."There...just cant you be happy I'm actually going to help you?"
-
"Are you? Or the moment the rain stops are you going to scream at me to get out again?" He huffed.
-
She smiled lightly. "My mother told me that I should help people. Sadly she would have yelled at me if I didn't help you." She coughed into her arm. "My father would have told you to stay out of hospitality."
-
"Hm..." He said, narrowing his eyes. He then nodded, sighing. "Fine."
-
She shook her head and pointed to a door. "That's my room, you'll be staying in the room next to it. Um...well what would you like to eat anyways?"
-
"I don't know." He replied, glancing around. "I don't normally choose." He huffed.
-
She rolled her eyes and walked to the kitchen. "Then you're having a stew I guess." She looked through the cabinets and found a few carrots and other vegetables for stew. She looked at him. "You want to help?"
-
He stared at her, wondering if she was kidding.
-
"If you think I'm kidding, I'm not. You're going to help me." She pulled out a knife. "You could try and cut the vegetables."
-
He stood up, and walked over to her, looking down at her.
"Hmph." He said, and took the knife, looking at it, then the vegetables. "Why should I?" -
"Because, since you're going to be here for a while, you must understand how our village works. We all work and we get our share out if it. So if you help, you get food out of it." She smiled a bit and walked over to the other side of the kitchen getting the small cauldron ready. She started to fill it with water.
-
He took a step back, eyes narrowed "Here for a while? I'm not going to be here for more than a night!" He glared. "I don't need to understand your peasant ways!"
-
She whacked his hand with the spoon she was holding. "Then you don't eat." She had an smile on her face when she hit him.
