She mumbled a thank you and walked out the door.

He followed along behind her.

The moon was covered by the clouds and she sighed in relief, she didn't need him changing now.

He sighed. "It's nice tonight."

She blinked and looked at him. "Yeah...it is." She smiled a bit.

He reached over, almost timidly, and held her hand.

She blushed lightly and held onto his hand. She didn't really understand this guy.

He was glad she hadn't punched him or something.

"You mortals...are weird you know that?" She looked over at him and tilted her head. "Did you really think I was going to hurt you or something?"

He thought about it, then nodded. "Yeah... kinda."

She smiled lightly. "Trust me I wouldn't hurt you Collin."

"That's reassuring. Thank you." He smiled.

"You're very welcome Collin." She didn't notice the moon peaking out of the clouds.

He looked up, seeing the moon. "We should hurry."

She glanced over at the moon and nodded quickly. She pulled him quickly to the fire escape and let go of his hand. She then crouched and jumped up to probably the second platform of the fire escape.
