He started humming to himself and leaned back in the chair.

Now that they're gone. He drew a long dagger he had then jumped from the tree, over the wall. Approaching the prince he griped the dagger tightly. "Prince Troye Rockwell the 2nd."

"Yes?" he asked, eyes closed, totally reclined.

He raised the dagger to his throat. "Aamir. I was hired to kill you."

His eyes shot open when he felt the cool metal against his skin. "If you move, we can talk about this. Anything you want is yours, just don't kill me."

He heard this many ones before. Never complied once. "It doesn't work like that. Don't take it seriously. I'm just doing my job." His voice was completely chilled and serious.

"Who sent you? I'm sure you and I could settle this without any bloodshed."

His eyes opened. He didn't remember sitting down. He felt metal against his neck and saw a hand connected to it. It looked like his hand. He followed it and saw the body connected to it. His own. Aamir's eyes widened. But how could..

Troye opened his eyes, and looked down. Why was he holding a knife against his own throat? He pulled back and stepped away. Wait, why could he see himself? "What the..."

He stood up and backed away a few steps. An idea of what happened, hit him. "P-prince?..."

"Um, yes. I think. Somewhat." He looked down at the commoner assassin's body, then back at his own. He looked good today.

He cursed under his breath. "That damned witch!" He instantly knew it was her. It had to be.

"What?" he asked. He noticed that the gardeners had left some things they'd need, and would probably be back. He grabbed his own body by the arm. "Come on."
