She winced lightly and walked Cinder into the house, looking around carefully to see if anything was wrong with the place. It didn't seem dangerous. "hm...it seems safe."
-
Hansel closed the door behind them, walking over to a chair. He sat in it. "I'd know it's safe. I got rid of people who would make it unsafe." He paused. "Red, can I talk to you in private?" He smiled over at Cinderella.
Cinderella took the hint and let go of her hand, wandering over into another room. She found some paper and a few pens. Enthralled, she sat down, and began to draw pictures.
"Yeah, you are going to die, princess. I guess so too. I never knew her, so.." He looked at the sky. "She must have had a reason not to. I don't see why, though. People like me, we take it as a horrible offense if someone doesn't know what it is. And we hate the Prince." -
Red leaned against a wall and looked at Hansel. "What do you want to talk about without her in here?" She gave him a very bored expression.
-
"You saw her wrist, right? The stopped watch? She should be dead, but yet she's awake, and running." Hansel said in a dead serious voice. "I saw a guy a long time ago in the woods- my woods- and he was yelling something about a girl called Cinderella. I think that's her name."
Rumpelstiltskin smiled a bit. "Yes, people like me. We hate the prince and are in pain, that's all. Not very different, I guess." His eyes flicked over to his castle. -
She gave him a sour look. "Of course I saw it, I'm not blind Hansel. Look why don't we just tell her that name and see if any memories spark up." She tugged at her sleeves a bit. "Your woods? Really, you sound like..." She shut up after that, not wanting to anger him or say anything more.
-
Hansel snorted. "Who do I sound like, Miss Red? Do tell. We have all day to tell each other stories of one another." He leaned against the wall, eyeing her. "Do I spun like someone you hate? Someone you like? Who?"
"Emotional pain, not really physical. Losses.." Rumpelstiltskin sighed. "We're already here. Couldn't you tell that the horse has stopped swaying?" He helped her down from it without asking her, tying the horse to a stable. He then took her hand and lead her inside. -
She glared at him. "Like I would tell you." She bared her teeth like a trapped animal, know he wouldn't be intimidated. "I just met you, so why would I spill my whole story to you?!"
-
"We're both partners, god dammit. I don't care whether you agree or not, but listen, we both hate the Prince's guts. And there's a little girl who we have to help. So right now, I think we could do each other a favor by spilling something out." Hansel narrowed his eyes, not bothered by her teeth. He looked at the room Cinderella was in, catching a glimpse of her trying on one of his shirts. He snorted as he watched her twirl in it; it was much too big for her.
"I suppose you do need to sit down.." Rumpelstiltskin sighed, a hand on her waist. He lead her to a couch that wasn't too far from the door. After getting her settled, he said, "Would you prefer some normal clothing, princess?" -
She glared at him and looked where he was looking, smiling a bit. She then looked back at him. "I'll tell you my story. My grandmother was attacked by a wolf and it was my fault. I spent five years trying to find him, when I did his time had run on on his wrist. When I heard it was the prince's fault for me not getting my revenge, I was set to be the one to kill him." She crossed her arms over her chest. "Happy now Hansel?"
-
Hansel nodded. "Hmm.. Where should I begin? My parents wanted nothing to do with me and my sister. So they tried to get rid of us. My sister was killed by a witch, I killed my parents, and I hate the prince because he's getting in the way of my peace. That's it for me." He paused. A grin showed on his face. "The long trails of blood are of my own, by the way."
"I don't usually have company, so I don't pay much attention to names. Sorry, Aira. My apology. My name is Rumpelstiltskin. Pleasure to meet you." He pushed her shoes off to the side, sighing a bit. -
She snorted. "I thought I smelled blood on the ground. You're crazy you know." She replied back to him. "Now. Are we done talking Han?"
-
Hansel shrugged. "It wasn't my fault, but whatever. Yeah, yeah, we're done here."
Cinderella came into the room wearing nothing but her underwear and Hansel's tee. It was past her knees like a dress, and her hands didn't show through the sleeves. She beamed up at them. "I'm a guy now!"
Rumpelstiltskin stood up, walking over to the closet that was in the room. He picked out female traveler's clothes for her. When he returned, he mused, "Willis called you something? I'm surprised. He seems.. Cold." -
"Good." She saw Cinderella and giggled lightly, walking over to her. "You're so cute!" She picked her up and hugged her. "So cute~"
-
Cinderella's eyes shone with pride. She was happy that she found someone that liked her. She only wish she could remember something, anything.
Hansel stared at the shirt that the young girl was wearing. Lucky for her, it wasn't his favorite, so he'd let her keep it. He sighed and looked away from the two girls. He had some thinking to do.
Rumpelstiltskin froze up when she asked the question. The flashbacks came- Her bell like laughter, the love to clean things, her clock ticking down. His eyes flickered as he cleared his throat. "He lured in a beautiful young princess that had nowhere to go. She had a whiff of that perfume. Needless to say, she left that place, and I found her. She was the first close friend I ever had." He fell silent. After a moment, he said, "She died." -
Red set her down and ruffled her hair, she looked back up at Hansel and he was thinking of something. She was about to say something when her stomach growled loudly, causing her to blush out of embarrassment.
