Hansel grew startled as another girl walked into view. He moved to a different tree, trying to get a better view of the newcomer. She had a red hood. His mouth curled into a frown. Why a hood when it's so hot?
Cinderella jumped, her eyes wide. She twirled herself around, staring at the girl behind her. For a moment, she was silent. But then, with her small voice, she said, "No. I haven't lost anything at all." Cinderella stood, wiping her dirt covered palms off with her dress. "I was cleaning."
The fat commoner lurched for Rumpelstiltskin. Rumpelstiltskin moved to the right, grabbing the man's wrist while flipping him onto the floor. 1:5:55 (One hour, five minutes, fifty five seconds) was printed on the guy's wrist. "Is that why you're trying so hard to buy my space? You have an hour, and you're going to waste it in a huge castle, trying to accomplish nothing. What a waste of space." The commoner gulped as he saw him pull out a dagger. Ever so quickly, the man was stabbed, and he fell back. The clock ticked down faster than a normal clock would, until everything was down to zero. -
Red glanced around and bit the bottom of her lip. "Well...you can't really clean the forest hon. Dirt is everywhere." She tilted her head and got down to the girl's level. "Are you lost?"
-
Hansel leaned on one branch, watching the hooded girl and the younger girl. He wondered why the newcomer was being nice. If it were him, he'd slap the little girl and give her some common sense.
Cinderella was about to shake her head when it occurred to her that she was lost. She bit her lip and said, "I am lost. I don't really remember how I got here, or who I am." She held out her wrist. The clock was visible on her wrist. 0:00:00. "I don't know what this is, either. Do you know?"
Rumpelstiltskin kicked the man's body away, watching it roll down the hill and disappear into the lake below. He ran a hand through his hair, sighing. "What an idiot," he muttered. -
Red blinked her eyes in surprise and took the girl's arm. "This...is impossible." She shook her head and laughed. "It's nothing you should worry about hon. You're safe." She looked the girl over. "hm... Well you could stay with me if you would like. I could give you a name until you remember." She smiled under her hood.
-
Hansel couldn't stand watching them any longer. He jumped down from the tree, walking over. "Don't you think you should tell her what's wrong with her? You owe the little girl that."
Cinderella stared at the man with wide eyes, almost forgetting about the female. She turned and looked up at her. "I-I'd like to stay with you." She stuttered. "And I'd like that." She then looked at the man with an awed face.
Rumpelstiltskin walked back into his castle, his fingers sliding along the door frame and walls. He enjoyed the feel to them. Each item meant so much to him; Especially the chipped cup. -
Red frowned at the man who jumped down from a tree. "I'd rather not scare her." She go in front of the girl and pulled out a dagger. "Now, who are you?" She was already protective of the little girl, she reminded her of herself when she was younger. She looked back at the girl. "I'll give you a name later hon...okay?" She smiled.
-
Hansel put his hands up. "I'm Hansel. You know, you shouldn't be swinging that around, or the little girl will get scared. Besides, I let her stay on my territory, anyways, so I'm not a bad guy." He paused. "It's the Prince's fault she's that way, and we need to see if we can get her memory back."
Cinderella stumbled back onto the floor, biting her lip. Her dressed got smudged with more dirt. She didn't know any Hansel, or what was going on. She didn't know either of them, but was leaning towards being friends with the girl.
Rumpelstiltskin grew bored with all of these things, however, and ventured back outside. It was a beautiful day, and the forest seemed to have all of it's liveliness. He closed the door and walked to path that would lead deep into the forest. -
She frowned lightly and put the dagger away, still giving him an angry look. She grabbed her hood and flipped it down. "It's the Prince's fault for everything. "she spit the word Prince out hatefully. When she heard the girl stumble behind her she turned and got down to her level with a worried look. "Are you okay?"
-
Hansel put his hands on his hips, watching them. "Yes, it is. And I think I can help you both." He held out a hand to the little girl, helping her up. "I've been waiting to find someone to share my anger with. Why don't you both come with me to my house?"
Cinderella took his hand and was grateful for the help she got as she was pulled up. Her little eyes were getting pale and dull. "May we please go with the man? I'm quite hungry.."
Rumpelstiltskin had been walking for quite some time when he saw a girl and her horse going along a path. He raised an eye as he noticed there was a tree in the path that they were on, and that they were likely to run into it. "Are you aware, young lady, that you're about to run into a tree?" He yelled out.
(BTW Rumpel has a British accent. :I) -
Red sighed lightly and stood up. "Fine. But if he does anything funny we're out of there alright?" She looked at him. "Lead the way Hansel."
-
Hansel looked to the floor for the blood path. Once he caught site of it, he began to follow it. "Don't you enjoy the scenery here?" He said to the little girl, watching her face.
Cinderella bit her lip as she looked around. "..Sure." She said after a while. She looked at her palms that were covered in dirt. Quite suddenly she said, "I think my name is Cinder.. Cinder something." She grew helpless at the last bit of her name. Why couldn't she remember?
Rumpelstiltskin walked over to her, putting a hand on her leg. "You couldn't see that? Are you blind?" He looked at the horse with a glare, as if scolding the animal for not stopping for the girl. -
Red followed after them quietly and light on her feet. Not even making a sound. "Cinder...that's a pretty name. It's better than Red." She blinked and swore lightly under her breath. So much for not saying her name.
-
Hansel fell silent, making sure to keep his eyes on the floor. He needed to follow the right path; on days he explored the forest, he would cut himself and make more paths. At least they all lead back to his house.
Cinderella let out a giggle, turning and grabbing Red's hand. "That's a pretty name? Yours is beautiful! I love the color red."
Rumpelstiltskin stared at her wrist. With a sick feeling, he remembered his sweet little girl, but tried to forget it. Slowly, he said, "I don't think you need to go back to that castle. The Prince's? Yeah, he's just about killed you, dear. Hasn't anyone told you about that s---ty perfume he wears? It kills people. And you have.." He paused, holding her wrist in his hand. "Seven hundred and thirty hours, fifty two minutes, and seventeen seconds left to live." -
She blushed lightly and held onto Cinder's hand. "Well...it's an okay name really. My...grandmother gave it to me after my parents died. The never really gave me a name." She watched Hansel closely.
-
Cinderella held Red's hand tightly, unsure of the right way to hold another person's hand. "She came up with a good name. My parents are dead, too." She blinked. "Well, at least I think they are."
Hansel stopped as a house loomed into view. "We're here, girls," he said cheerfully, opening the door. "Ladies first."
Rumpelstiltskin sighed, tapping his hands along the horse's back. "A month and a couple of minutes. All because of that bratty prince. You know, that perfume attracts girls like a moth to lights. And kills them. It's random how long you get, though. Some girls got a day, some a week, a few minutes, it's random." He paused, grabbing the horse's reins from her hand and leading the horse back to his castle. "I'll take you in and explain everything I can, miss.. Er... What's your name?"
