47 years after the first apocalyptic outbreak, a small group of human rebels remain. The Undead, who now refer to themselves as the Semilives, are now emotionally and mentally equal to the humans. The Semilives no longer consume human flesh, as they've realized the humans are fairly better at combat than they are, as well as not as healthy for them as other types of meat are. Because of this, killing and consuming humans is illegal in the Semilives' community, as is housing a human in the community without their registration. However, using humans for other purposes, such as labor or other, more-strenuous activities is allowed, as long as they are registered human members of the community.
A young human male is separated from his group in a rations raid in one of the abandoned cities, and found by a group of Semilives. They decide to keep him, but at what cost? -

I don't care which character I am or how the gender roles work so I'll leave you to choose and I'll decide tomorrow. If you want to be the human I can provide more information on the community as we go on, I had a lot of it decided for an actual story but it was too long to type out in a summary.
