(Just realized their names rhyme, whoops. xD)
Shane was sitting outside, a few feet past the glass doors. His fingers were twirling a lush red rose. He glumly set it down on the floor beside him. He rose from the spot.
He had a bit of trouble with his right eye. Or rather, he just plain didn't like it. While his left eye was a chocolate brown, his right was a sparkling blue. The governor tried for years to get it fixed, but it wasn't something eye surgery could fix. He couldn't stand the slight blindness in his eye when he tried contacts, and ended up getting a 'pirate' eye patch. At least he thought it looked cool. -
("Hey Shane!" "Hi, Dane.")
Shane glanced up at the sky. Night had fallen, even though it was only four thirty, and the moon was out with a few stars. He gazed up longingly. With an outstretched hand, he imagined that he could pull a star or two down and hold it within his palm. The twinkling lights in the sky seemed to become brighter as he pretended to snatch them up. He loved the night sky, and although he couldn't own it, it was one of the best things he demanded for. Even if Shane had to wait for it.
He sighed and let his hand fall to his side. His father would probably be looking for him, no matter how drunk he was. That was one more thing Shane couldn't have. A normal father. But he didn't mind all of the parties. The work. He always got what he wanted. A horse, any clothing, food, jewelry, and roses. He practically held a part of the world in his hand. He loved that almost as much as the stars. -
Shane was about to retrieve his Rose when he heard footsteps. He looked up. A male, probably older than Shane, was leading a beautiful young girl out of the house. He frowned slightly. Isn't it too cold for them to be outside? He let them walk a few feet away before he began to follow them.
He was curious as to why they were outside. He thought about asking the female, but she seemed busy chatting to him. Every few seconds, he'd move off to the side, hoping that they wouldn't notice him watching. -
He instantly knew that something was up. He began to jog, but stopped dead. His feet made the leaves rustle underneath him. He cursed at the leaves. He very faintly remembered complaining to his father about these stay leaves. The gardener just pushed them into the forest. He knew that the leaves would help if they were gone all together, but, too late now.
Shane walked briskly across the yard. He was having to slow down, increasing the space left between him and the two night walkers. He could barely believe he was about to go into the forest. There could be spiders, or animal poo, for god's sake. He turned and looked at the stars. How badly he wished he could have one at his side right now. Taking in the sight, he went into the woods without a second thought.
His mind replayed the scene of the sky as he quietly trudged through the trees. The think branches concealed the sky a bit, and only the moon gave out light. With only one eye, it was difficult to walk. At last, Shane caught up to them. Even though the leaves had stopped rustling, he ducked behind a tree and peeped his head out to watch. -
Shane's eyes went wide. Even though he hadn't heard the gun being cocked, he could see it very clearly, and knew she was about to die. He bit his lip. He could watch, like any sane person, and run off.. He cut his thoughts short. He didn't want to watch.
So instead, Shane ran out of his hiding spot, pulling the girl away and getting in front of her. He didn't know what would happen. In a squeaky voice, he said, "Run, blondie!" -
Shane stumbled a bit. He stared down at his slowly redding shirt. It took his brain a minute to process the pain. When the pain kicked in, he let out a gasp. It was cold. Cold, and spreading through his chest. He put a hand over the wound and shut his eyes. He hated the warm feeling covering his hands.
He finally got a glimpse at the girl. She was dead. It hurt him worse than the shot to see her lying there. Tears came to his eyes. Shane let his eye trail up to the murderer. He saw the shock in his eyes. He cracked a sick grin. "Never thought I'd try that, huh, big shot?" -
Shane naturally blushed. He curled up into a ball. This position made the bleeding slow down somewhat. He stared at him. "Where are we going? Why'd you kill that girl? My house is back there.."
He was busy taking in the murder's appearance. He trailed off because he was busy doing so. He wasn't as good looking as Shane, but he was close. He downcast his eyes. -
Shane's face went pale. He threw his arms out, so he would hit the car airbag and be in worse condition.
"So I'm gonna bleed out slowly because you're taking be somewhere instead of my own home? I have personal doctors there! This would be over in a minute, if you'd just bring me back home..." -
*wouldn't
Shane grumbled. He unhappily hit his shoulder against it. And due to this, he fell head first into the space were most people put their feet. He let out a surprised yelp. "GAH! YOU HORRIBLE DRIVER!" He screamed. His feet were now on the chair. -
Shane snuggled into his chest. No, it wasn't because he was warmer. He didn't want him to drop him, or anything close to that. He was growing weaker. The wound was still seeping out blood. Shane let out a distressed groan.
(I'm playing a game with Geek, GOM, and Anime, so RPing is kinda difficult right now xP)
