Zira nodded. "He's right, should we allow the citizens to believe that we have abandoned them?"
At this Scil stood as well. "They will not lose faith so quickly, Zira. We should hold back, get more information." -
Diana stayed seated. But even her patience was running thin. "There are times for action and there are times for strategy. This is no time to charge into a battle we have no previous knowledge about. The people of the kingdom know that we have not abandoned them. If we had abandoned them, would this kingdom still be standing?" Diana kept her face mostly emotionless. "We should wait and see what their next move is before making ours."

"How, exactly, do you plan on getting this information?" Zira sat back down, but her voice was like ice. "Or do you plan on letting them tear down the castle before you make a move." She sighed, rubbing her temples before continuing. "Diana, I mean no disrespect but I simply cannot stand by and watch as my territory is attacked."

Diana took a deep breath before starting again. She turned to Zira, "I could do surveillance. A couple hours in the day, more in the night." Diana frowned and added, "This is not only your territory alone." Diana looked at the Court. "All of us were trusted to watch over the kingdom, not to charge into battles after a display of harassment. Shadow King or no Shadow King, strategy is still required."
