He chuckled lightly. "Well...I'm glad you didn't kill me." -
"I am too." She involuntarily rested one hand on Iscariot's neck while keeping the other on his reins.

He patted Nanny's neck. "trust me I don't know what would have happened if you did." He frowned a bit.

"Well, you'd be dead, for one."

He shook his head. "No I mean I don't know what would happen to the people...and Nanny. I would have been devastated if I died and something bad happened to them." He sighed lightly. "They were all I had."

It was in that moment she realized that everyone else she had ever killed, everything that they'd left behind, had probably fallen into the state Gregory was imagining. It was not a fun thing to realize.

He blinked and looked up at her. "Are you alright? Sorry that I'm talking deep."

"I'm fine. Hey, you don't have any siblings, do you?" she asked.

He shook his head no. "I'm an only child. I was lucky try number seven when my parents were trying for kids."

"Wow. My parents agreed that they weren't going to have any more kids other than me, but eight years later..." She shrugged.

He smiled a bit. "It...would have been nice to have had siblings."

"You can take one or two of mine... they can be a real pain, though." She laughed a little.

He chuckled lightly. "I wouldn't be mean and do that."

"How would that be mean?" she asked.

He thought for a moment. "I don't know really. I don't want to steal your siblings."
