Hmm okies. There's this girl who has a best guy friend and they grew up together. Well the girls parents both work all the time traveling around the world and she doesn't even know what their real jobs are. Anyway she has plenty of friends, makes straight As, and always plays it safe. She finds herself put into a situation she'd never dreamed possible when she discovers that she is destined to rule a kingdom.

Well as far as the male goes he has a back story too, he has a rough past, but him and the girl are always there for each other. He's the opposite of her good kid mentality though, he's the bad boy. And his parents, his dad killed his mom and then went to prison for life. He lives with his aunt but usually stays the night with the girl when her parents aren't home.
Or we can have a story that goes like this: There's a guy who works for the CIA, he's on a mission to catch a fairy queen. His buddies don't believe in fairies and mock him for the case. The fairy queen had bad dealings with certain CIA superiors and International Affair Delegates. She's been killing some and using others for information. His job is to bring her back alive for questioning and probable prosecution but he ends up falling in love with the female fatale. -
