"Vivian, please don't take this personally. I didn't want to do this! I just..." Raven's voice trailed off. She was just as scared as her sister was. Raven's cloak blew in the wind. There wasn't a sound. Raven's hands were shaking dangerously.
-
Vivian swallowed and suddenly jumped forward knocking the gun away and falling on top of her sister. She grabbed her sisters wrist and held them above her head. "What the hell Raven?!" She yelled with a shaking voice.
-
Raven took shallow breaths. She came to a realization. "I couldn't shoot. W-why couldn't I shoot?! I had the chance but I just..." Raven got up just to fall back down again. "I can't go back now. I-I can't." Raven stared at the gun a couple of feet away from her.
-
Vivian pulled away an pressed herself against a tree. "What are you talking about?" She asked her voice slightly loud with a tint of hysterical.
-
Raven looked up at Vivian. Her face showing distraught emotions. "You trust me, so I should trust you, right?" Raven took a deep breath and started telling Vivian most of the things she kept hidden. From getting beaten by their mother after losing to Vivian, to her mother telling her to kill Vivian, Raven let it all spill out in a waterfall of emotions.
-
Vivian was crying silently and took her younger sister in her arms. "Oh Raven I'm so sorry.. I had no idea." She snuggled into her sisters hair.
-
"I didn't tell you. It's only natural that you'd have no idea." Raven sighed. "Mother is evil. Evil-er then evil. We can't go back." Raven took a deep breath. "I'm sorry for doing this. But now I have to find somewhere to go. Mother will probably send the huntsmen soon."
-
"We need someplace to go." She sighed and rested her face in her hands. "These woods are suppost to be haunted." She looked at her sister.
-
Raven sighed. "We're going to have to keep going, I suppose. They will be looking through the kingdom, so we can't hide there." Raven looked as far as she could see ahead in the forest. "Hopefully we can escape."
-
Bump)
-
Vivian rose to her feet and silently started walking away. She took a path and then did circles or walked back wards over her tracks. "To confuse any hunters." Shrugs.
-
Raven nodded. She still felt terrible about the whole, 'kill Vivian' thing. She had a knot of guilt in her stomach for agreeing. Raven wondered if she was worthy of Vivian's trust anymore. But still, Raven followed her sister in silence, hiding her mixed emotions once again.
-
Vivian led her sister deeper into the woods and soon any hope of other human life was gone. "I think we should rest here." She said quietly an sat down next to a small pond of water.
-
"Okay," Raven said. She sat down at the edge of the pond. She tugged the cloak tighter around her. She glanced at Vivian. Sometimes Raven forgot that she had an older sister. They acted more like old friends then siblings.
-
Vivian dipped her hands into the water and washed her face. Sitting back she closed her eyes and let herself think. Her sister, more of an friend, was suppost to kill her. But she didn't so now.. They were on the run. Fantastic.
