The hound barked in glee and pounced into her back, pinning her bellow it's cold and hairless body. It lifted its head and a tracker beeped on its ear. A black van pulled up in the grass.
Damion stopped and then took off at a dead sprint towards the park. "Mary!" He screamed leaping over benches and other things in his way that was keeping him away from her. -
Mary was terrified. Then she felt something, something warm fill her body. Somehow she knew this feeling, like an old memory. Fire started dancing on her arms, even in the rain. She grabbed the hounds throat and set fire to it. She squirmed and ran as she saw the hound fully catch on fire, not even the rain was putting it out. Why....is this familiar...

The hound screamed and died. People began to pile out from the van and tried to circle the flaming girl.
Damion came flying in with a sword flying in his hands and he started swinging and cutting down the men in black suits. He snarled like a beast as he started fighting. -
She started laughing, somehow all of this was funny to her. The flames grew bigger and swallowed her. Anyone near her caught on fire on fire immediately. She never stopped laughing, not once.

Once they were all down he looked at Mary, he was bleeding. "Mary?" He asked, his voice thick and hoarse. "Mary!" He stepped closer and grabbed her arm.

Mary took a sharp breath and the fire went out around her. She blinked and looked around, she started shaking."D-damion...?" Rain quickly started to hit her again.

Damion was soaked to the bone and blood was slowly pouring down his body. "What did you do?" He whispers in awe. She had what he was just learning to touch.

"I-I don't know..." She looked at the ground. She didn't understand what she did.

"Come on." He swept her up and hoisted her into his arms cradling her against his broad chest. He started running towards her apartment and put her down at the fire escape. He looked around and then up for any danger before nodding for her to go up.

She nodded back at him and climbed up. She finally got to her window and opened it. She climbed through and shivered.

He came in behind her and shut the window with a soft click. "Go get in the shower." He said quietly before picking up Oreo and taking the kitten to the kitchen to dress her small wound.

She nodded numbly and walked to the bathroom, closing the door with a soft click. She quickly got undressed and hopped into the shower, turning it on to scolding hot.

Oreo purred once he was done and ran to the bathroom door and started pawing at the wooden door. "Leave her alone." He chuckled watching the tiny creature meow for her master.

She heard Oreo through the door and she laughed softly, sneezing in the process. She groaned and turned off the water and wrapped a towel around her and wrapped a towel in her hair. She walked out and sneezed again.

Damion couldn't help himself, he looked up as she stepped out of the shower and he might have drooled a little. He swallowed hard and turned away quickly before she couldn't notice. He ran a hand through his thick hair. "Feel better?" He asked.
