Oreo yawned and pawed at him. "Someone's needy." Picks her up with one arm an cradles her in one large arm and she purred and rubbe her head against his chest. "You know, she's like your opposite." Chuckles as he looked at the small kitten.

She blushed more. "I'm not...the cuddling type." She glared at the cat a bit.

The cat tossed her a look before purring once more. Damion didn't notice a thing. "That's a shame." He chuckled quietly with a sly smile towards her.

She rolled her eyes and grabbed a box from the side of her bed. "I'm going out to the fire escape. Have fun with Oreo." She waved her hand at him. She opened the window and got out. She opened the small box and three cigarettes were inside. "Damn. I need to buy more." She put one in her mouth and lit it with the lighter in her pocket.

He carried the cat to the couch and sat down with her. "Those are cancer sticks." He told her from his spot. He fell onto his side and started to doze off with the cat cuddled up in his neck. It looked funny, such a big man with a tiny cat.

"Does it seem like I care?" She chuckled lightly and let the smoke go out through her mouth. She hadn't really smoked in months.

He didn't answer instead he snored sofly with the kitten curled into his neck.

She sighed lightly and took the already gone cigarette out of her mouth. She went back inside and smiled a bit. It was cute how they looked together, she crept over and placed a blanket on him and hesitated for a second. She sighed and kissed his cheek. "Have fun sleeping." She walked to her room and closed the door.

He mummers softly in his sleep as the nightmares are shortly held at bay from her lips against his cheek. He woke up with Oreo laying across his face about an hour later. He sneezed and she grumped at him and walked off to eat. "Humph." He stood up and streached.

Mary fell asleep after she landed on her bed. She always felt exhausted anymore. Maybe soon she'd be off the insomnia pills. Of course she hugged her pillow tightly and moved around in her sleep, sleep talking the whole time.

He left a note on the table saying he was going for a walk. Slipping out the window he got his pistol and a few daggers as he left and his his weapon bag behind the couch. He headed towards the park on his own. What he failed to notice was a hound watched him leave and crept up the stairs and towards the window. A second one joined the first ones side they made soft bating noises and pawed at the glass.

Mary's eyes opened slowly and blinked. She heard dog like noises and Oreo was going nuts. She got out of her room and gasped. Those things in her window were not dogs. She looked around for him, but he wasn't there. She panicked and hid behind her couch.

When they caught sight of her they went insane and snarled and slammed into the glass. Glass shatters and they barged in snarling and growling. One went after Oreo who was scratching it multiple times but it was unable to reach her. The other was looking for Mary. It sniffed around in the kitchen.

Mary was lucky enough that she could escape into a bottom storage area in her kitchen. She was hyper ventilating, those things couldn't be real...they weren't real, yet she heard things tearing her apartment apart. She wished he was here. She started shaking and tears escaped from her eyes.

The hounds took off when they found nothing good. Just as they set out Damion appears and shot them in the head. "f---." He growled and leapt into the apartment. "Mary?" Looks around at the destruction. Oreo crept out, meowing painfully. Blood welled on her shoulder. He picked her up "Such a brave girl." He kissed her head and set her on the couch. "Mary?" He yelled louder.
