Nera laughed, but she sniffed the air. It smelled like water....but not the normal kind. her eyes widened. "Caspian get dressed. Now. Layla is having the kid now!" She got up and quickly got dressed, rushing out of the room.
Edward set her on the bed carefully and panicked a bit. "I'll go get Nera." She bursted into the room. "Okay Ed I'm here, but I need you out of the room..." He glared at her. "I'm staying with her!" She shrugged. "Fine." -
"Oh shoot!", he said, quickly throwing on some clouds he ran into their room, "Well isn't this a bit unexpected?"
I breathed in and out slowly, a part of me was panicking and another part...just couldn't wait to see the baby in the head, I groaned , pain washing over me, I grabbed Edward's hand and held tight -
She pushed Caspian outside. "Go get a nurse for a hospital! I'm gonna need help with this!" She sighed and took a deep breathe. She spread layla's legs and placed a towel underneath her. " Okay hon I'm gonna need you to push when I tell you and try and breathe calmly."
Ed winced and held her hand tightly. "It will be okay Layla." -
Caspian ran, picking up the phone he dialed quickly, "Hello, we need a nurse..yes..yes..no, my friend's girlfriend is in labour..okay.."
"Okay", I said trying to breathe slower, "God! This is the weirdest feeling" -
She chuckled lightly. "It will feel like that. I need you to push hon. "
Ed gripped her hand and looked scared. -
I pushed, groaning from the effort I squeezed Edward's hand, I looked up at him, "Love, you look more nervous than me".
Caspian called from the hallway, not knowing whether he should be in there or not. "Nurse is on her way!" -
She sighed in relief."thanks Caspian! Wait out there for the nurse!" She looked at Layla again. "Okay I need you to push harder."
Ed blushed lightly. "I-I'm not nervous. I'm h-happy." He sent her a smile. -
Caspian waited for the nurse who soon arrived in no time, she frowned at Edward for being in the room during the pregnancy but got on with it, "Okay, well you are doing very well"
I pushed harder and I'm sure I felt something stick out, almost there. Tears sprung in my eyes, damn this hurts. I whimpered -
Nera was giddy. "Okay! Nurse I need you to get me clean towels please. Layla hon your doing great, the baby is crowning so were close. Now I need one more good push out of you." She grabbed a towel she didn't use and waited for the final push.
Edward felt joy run through him. His kid was soon to be here...and they still didn't have a name for him. He thought for a moment and smiled. He gripped her hand tightly. -
The nurse ran, coming back with towels and a tray with a jug of water and a few glasses.
"Shoot", and finally I made my last push, squeezing Ed's hand so tight that I feared I might break his bones -
Edward winced and bit his lip. Part of his hand was broke, but it would heal.
Nera finally got the baby out and wiped him off quickly. She made one of her nails long and sharp, making sure the nurse wasn't looking, and cut the the cord. She cleaned him off and smiled hearing the baby cry. "Well Ed, he has your lungs." She laughed lightly. "You two now have a wonderful baby boy. A healthy one at that." She swaddled him in a clean white towel. -
I sighed a breath of relief, relaxing my grip on Ed's hand. "Don't any of you dare expect me to make some sappy speech oabout this, no. Ed, your gonna learn to use protection cause this is just tor-", but my eyes fell upon the infant and I gasped, "B-bring him here"

Nera brought the little baby over to her. "Here hon. He's your problem now." She walked out of the room and smiled at Caspian. She kissed his cheek gently.
Edward chuckled and kissed her forehead. "I promise I will." He looked at the bundle in her arm. "What are we gonna name him?" -
"Oh wow, he's beautiful", I whispered, gazing down at the screaming baby, shaking its angry fist at the world. It opened its eyes and gazed up at us, for a few moments there was silence until I finally shouted, "THAT BEAUTIFUL THING CAME OUT MY VAGINA"(sorry, I always imagined that's what I'd say after giving birth xD)
Caspian smiled pulled her into a hug, "How was it?" -
Edward laughed lightly. "That is very true Layla." He kissed he temple. "He looks wonderful." (lol I think alot of people think that~)
She hugged him back. "Tiring, but it's a very healthy boy. I can't wait to hear the name for him."
