IHLAOY NewbieThe crowd parted as Richard walked through the city. It was an effect he was used to by now; and while he couldn't explain why it happened, it always made travelling much easier.
Spotting his pals through the people, Richard put on a false smile, stepping into the light. "Lynn, you look as beautiful as Elune herself," he said.
Looking at Russ, he nodded, "Russ, I believe you wanted to talk?" -
Jocelynn rolled her eyes, "Considering that you guys and my brother are the only ones who know what I look like, I don't know whether or not to accept the compliment." Lynn frowned, tucking a strand of brown hair that was peaking out behind her ear. Her hood was covering her head and half her face. "We really should get out of the open before we talk, though."
-
IHLAOY Newbie"That's the thing with beauty, my dear. It's shines regardless if it's seen by the king or the beggar."
Richard listening carefully to Lynn's concerns, and nodded to himself. While he himself had never seen a problem with having to disguise himself, he could easily see why it would be such a concern for someone like Lynn.
"Excellent advice. Come along then, we shall camp and be merry within my home," he cooed, before setting off down the street again. -
"Richard!" whisperd Russ sternly, grabbing Richard and pulling him into a vacant alley. He nudged Lynn there, too. "This is no joke. It's King Ahax's crown. We have to be serious about this."
-
Lynn flinched a bit when she heard the king's name, but recovered quickly. "We're really going to try to steal the king's crown?" She asked. Then she sighed. "It'll have to be a well thought out plan then."
-
IHLAOY Newbie"Now let's not be too hasty, my dear little thief, there are logistics to think about." Richard spat out aggressively.
Turning back to Russ, Richard raised an eyebrow, "Have you found a buyer yet? What's the price tag we're looking at? What about supplies; have you found someone unaccountable or do I have to bring my own? Let's not forget about the risk; gave you ran the numbers, what are we looking at here?" -
With his hands Russ gestured out a large square. "I've been observing the guards, and they have talked of the King on an outing to visit another kingdom. Now, imagine a ginormous horse suddenly streaking through the king's royal garden and snapping up all of his favorite turnips. The guards will be distracted and we can sneak in."
-
Lynn smiled, she even almost laughed. "He does love his turnips." She frowned, "no one else will be in the castle, right?" She asked, an unreadable expression on her face. She didn't want anyone catching them. For more reasons then one.

IHLAOY Newbie(Your character's the princess, isn't she?)
Smirking, Richard adjusted his clothes. Alley's really were a terrible place to try and keep clean, even for someone as vigilant as Richard. He also noted that Russ had avoided his question, and mentally prepared himself for another tough job without payout. Thank god he had other ways to support himself, with the abysmal state the thieving business was in.
"Won't the king be WEARING his crown? You know, the extremely rare, well crafted crown that he keeps on such a tight leash, along with everyone else in the castle? Why's he leaving his crown behind if he's meeting with foreign nobles?" -
(She's the king's great granddaughter. So she's the king's sister's daughter's daughter. Not a princess, she's a Lady. But her and her brother ran away and changed their last names.)
Lynn thought for a moment. "The king may leave it. But it depends if he want the foreign kingdom to know he has power. Which he probably does. The chances of him leaving it there are slim."
Lynn quickly scanned the area and saw that no one was there except them. So she took off her hood. Her curly golden brown hair was a bit tangled, but nothing more.
"Even if we do manage to get it, the guards will be on top of us before we could blink." Lynn pointed out. -
"Don't worry, grinned Russ, carelessly leaning back against a pile of garbage bags (he obviously didn't mind soiling his garments). "The king would NEVER wear his OFFICIAL crown during the trip. Duh. Too easy to get lost. So he wears a fake crown which looks extremely identical to the other, and no one can tell the difference. Except the phony has the words "Made in China" printed on the inside. But still, no one can see it."
-
Lynn sighed. "This plan had flaws, but it may work. But it would be smarter to move in the night. There's less of a chance we'd get caught." Lynn sat on the ground beside a garbage bag. She didn't really care about the smell.
-
"Duh!" cried Russel. "We'll go at night. Guess I didn't mention that."

IHLAOY Newbie(You mean cousin. If she's the granddaughter of the kings sister, that makes the king her uncle, and she's his cousin.)
Richard grimaced as he watched his companions equate themselves with the trash. His skin was already crawling at the thought. It was just so...uncouth. Just because the two of them were thieves didn't mean they weren't above beggars.
"Then what is the plan thou has so graciously set out?"
