Peak began sobbing. She wasn't in the mood for fighting, or running, or needles. She stayed in his arms.
-
He twitched. she was crying, he can't handle people crying. "Stop crying!" Of course he's never been around kids before, let alone this brat. He shook his head and started walking. "It will take us three days to get back. So don't try and and run later." He glared down at her, his red eyes glowing.
-
Peak twitched, sniffling, while rubbing her eyes and trying to stop crying. She fell silent. He'd probably take a route without water for her to dive in and save her life. She was too weak to fight, anyways. She had gone without food for a long time. Her stomach rumbled.
-
He kept walking and blinked when he heard her stomach rumble. He knew he had to stop somewhere so she could eat. He glanced around and looked for a place that didn't have water, he didn't want her to disappear again. He finally found a place and sat her down against a tree. He went through his bag on his back and found a think of dried fruits and his sugar cookies.
-
Peak screamed with newfound delight, "COOKIES!" She jumped up and down like a four year old would as they got a new toy. She continued to bounce as she exclaimed, "Can I have them all? I love cookies," a hope look plastered on her face. "I'll love you forever if I can have them."
-
He sighed. "Fine...but you're going to have to find a way to get me some more." He liked sugar cookies, but every other cookie was horrible to him. He handed them over to her and dug through his bag again. He brought out two sodas. "Here." He held on out to her.
(X3 geez dark you made her seem crazy.) -
Peak nodded, stuffing a whole cookie into her mouth. She said, "Ifff I sufife I fill!" She paused, swallowing it whole, before restating her sentence. "If I survive, I promise I will." She gracefully took the soda and popped the can's lid open.
(Well, she is. :P) -
He chuckled, but stopped himself. He couldn't get attached to her. He sat quietly while she ate. "I think you'll survive. They probably won't hurt you worse." He never knew what they did there anyways.
-
Peak frowned, shaking her head and drinking half of the can. "No... I'm lucky I got out the first time. They want to.. Do things. Dissecting. And other stuff. It'll hurt.." She fell silent, eating another cookie.
-
He glanced at her. Hearing what they did to her sounded brutal. "I didn't know they did that. I wonder what they want." He new the answer, he had them try to get his power out of him, but failed miserably causing him to lose it a bit.
-
"They want my power so they can get to the other dimension. A safe heaven from our world, this world. They want to rule over kids like me." She sighed. Another cookie got scarfed down.
-
He thought for a moment and shook his head. "That seems stupid." He felt something wet hit his face. He then glanced up and saw grey clouds. "Great, rain. I'd rather not have rain right now." More droplets fell onto the ground. He glared at the girl, his red eyes turning cold.
-
Peak shivered. She disliked rain, even if it was a way out. She hid behind him, staring out at the rain. "Cold. And wet. I hate rain. Get rid of it." She paused as she realized how dumb that sounded. She also realized it would be a way out of there, to stay alive. Peak had a hard choice to make.
-
He glanced back at her. "How can you hate rain when it's a way out for you." He pulled out an umbrella and opened it, then the rain started pouring. He grabbed her arm and dragged her over to a few trees that would cover them from the rain.
-
Peak's white hair was now wet. Very very wet. She shrugged, staying silent. Her eyes scanned the sky. She could make a run for it. Those cookies were filled with enough sugar to last her a few days.
