She let him walk besides her. "My step mom is a little strict, so I'll just walk the rest of the way down our street." she said. She bit her lip as they got closer.

He stopped and stuffed his hands back in his pockets after flipping his hood over his head. "Okay... Goodnight M." He smiled a cute boy smile before watching her walk away. When she got to his door he began his own walk home.

She gulped before opening the door. Her step-mom was sitting at the kitchen table, probably paying bills. "Your late. Again young lady." she said without looking up. "I uh, was at the park." she said looking at the ground. "Stargazing." she added quickly.

He got home and took off his jacket. Flopping in his bed he fell asleep before his dad could come home an yell at him.

She looked up at her with those dark eyes. "Penalties, lets see. Lets start with no dinner for a week, your curfew is at 10,and I don't want any talking back or else." she said bluntly. I glared at her before walking to bed.

He woke up the next day and stretched out. Getting up from his bed he began to get ready for school. His hair was ruffled up like a ducklings. Pushing it down and perishing his teeth he went downstairs. His dad was asleep. Grabbing his keys he walked outside and got into his blue truck.

I woke up to cole sitting on me. "What the..." i said starting. "You didn't read me a bed time story last night." he interupted. Cole was eight, and had brown curly hair and dark blue eyes. "Where were you?" he pressed on. "I have to get to school and so do you." I said changing the subject. I got him out of the room and got ready for school. I toke him to the bus stop. I continued to my school.

He was in home room by the time she pulled in. He yawne and fell asleep.

Marisa made her way to home room and got out her stuff. She was tired from last night. When she started dozing off the teacher called her name. "What?" she asked picking her head up from the desk. "To the office. Now" the teacher demanded. "Fine, a--hole." she mumbled getting up.

He lifted his head and yawned pretending to do his home work that he had already done. He looked up at two giggling girls who were watching him.

"What was that?" the teacher asked. "Nothing." she said slaming the door behind her. Once she got to the office she slumped in a chair and waited for the vice principal.

The bell rang and he gathers his things and headed to first hour. He passed the girl from last night sitting in the chair. "What did you do?" He asked stopping next to her.

"Slept in class, cussed, not as much as the usual." she said watching the kids pass in the hall.

He chuckled "You can try in school you know." He said watching her
