"I'm sorry, Ali," he said, looking into her fierce eyes. "I wanted to catch you off guard, but I chose the wrong way to do it. I didn't ever want to hurt your feelings."
-
She suddenly sprang slamming him into the wall her teeth barred. Then she smirked and let him go. "Cheap shots eh? Just expect them back." Her eyes flash and she turns and walks back into her room leaving the door open. Sitting on her bed she lowers the musica volume.
-
Ben's eyes went wide before he realized she was kidding. "I'm sorry," he repeated, leaning on her doorframe and watching her.
-
She shrugged and looked to her window. It was starting to rain slowly. Turning back to him she frowned. "Tonight's a full moon. Please stay inside." Worry flashed in her eyes before it smoothed away like waves with sand.
-
He nodded, "I will." He did note the worry in her eyes, and almost wondered why. Then he remembered that he hadn't taken any of that vervain stuff she'd gave him for the last two days.
-
She yawned and rose from her positon stretching out her back. Rubbing the back of her neck she headed towards the basement door. "Come on." She sighed and opens the door. Walking down she turned on a light. Matts lined the floor, weapons the wall, tables had files and photos covering them. A locked door was across the room but she ignored it.
-
Ben followed her, but didn't ask what they were doing.
-
Points to door "Never, open that." She sighed and walked to the table. Shuffles through photos and reports. "Your friend? Rippe in half right? Well i caught the scent the other day."
-
Ben nodded, afraid to ask what lay behind that door. "Yeah, what are you going to do?" he asked.
-
"Hunting." She grabbed a shot gun and started inspecting it. "And you will stay inside and are not to come out or I'll or you to my bed myself." Sighs softly and gentle puts the shot gun down.
-
Ben nodded, "okay, I'll go home and stay home, unless you say otherwise."
-
She nodded slowly "Don't invite anyone inside." Her eyes flashed and she looked back outside and saw the orange ball of fire of the sun was soon to set. "Go home Ben." Her eyes flashed with worry once more. She never fought a hybrid, she didn't know how to kill one. It was a play by ear kinda thing now.
-
He started out, but stopped. "Good luck, Ali. And come back," he smiled, "you're not done training me yet."
-
She nodded but didn't smile back. She headed up stairs and and started to gear up. She put on black leather pants, black combat boots that went just to her knees. Then she slid on a tight black shirt that had a weird mesh on it.
-
Ben got his things, and rode home, locking the doors and going upstairs.
