She curled into him and buried her face into the crook of his neck.

"I love you, Ali," he whispered.

"I, love you too." She whisperd and soon fell asleep, safely wrapped up in his arms.

Ben smiled, and closed his eyes, sleeping beside her.

Ali woke around three in the morning, body tensed. A soft tapping was only heard but only because she had vampire ears. Slowly pulling away from Ben she headed towards the source of the tapping, the living room window.

He was sound asleep, and let her go, giving her five minutes.

She pushed open the window and a a pitch black crow landed on her arm, drawing blood. Wincing slightly she took the message from it's long leg. "Leave." She growled and with a sqwake it was gone. Shutting the door she unfolded the letter and started reading.

After four minutes, he rose and walked downstairs, "you okay, babe?"

She rubbed her face, the note in one hand. "Not really." She sighed throwing it down on the counter. "The Clave is blaming me for the vampire that tried killing us? Death. Well we did kill him but we need to get to Italy quickly before they send more to attack us."

"It was self defense," he protested. "Road trip?"

"Road trip." She crumbled up the paper, hiding something from him but she hide it well. Throwing the paper away she tugged him back to bed. "We will leave in two days." She promised.

He nodded, flopping down with her and pulling her on top of him.

She peered down at him before sighing quietly and resting her head on his chest. She started to doze off.

Ben wrapped his arms around her, dozing back off.

Ali didn't wake up when the sun rose. Instead she pulled the blankets over her head and relaxed once more.
