James was breathing heavily. He winced every time he did.
Gwen fell to her knees and cried more. "This is my fault!!"
Ben glanced at his wife. "Are daughter isn't listening to orders and I caught her with a rat." -
"Oh James...my darling James", she whispered softly. Tears forming in her eyes, it killed her to see him hurt this way, but she knew how to save him. Healing saliva. Pulling his shirt up, she began to lick the wounds.
Cass hugged Gwen tightly, gently rocking her as if he were trying to calm a child, "No its not..".
Jane sighed and shook her head, "She's inlove". -
James gasped lightly and winced feeling his bones snap back into place.
She cried more and hugged him back. She couldn't stand seeing her kids hurt, it always felt like it was her fault.
Ben growled lowly. "I don't care. Once she's done healing him, I'm dragging her to her room." -
She found his hand and squeezed gently, "I-its gonna be okay", she continued to lick, after a wound would heal, she would kiss it softly like he once did and move on to the next, "Its okay James...your gonna be okay".
He hugged her tightly, stroking her hair gently, "Shush...its okay, its okay", he cooed.
Jane took a few steps towards him, "No". -
He twitched and gripped her hand tightly. It hurt, everything hurt.
She nuzzled his cheek and the tears started to stop.
He glared at her. "Why not?! She needs to learn!" -
She squeezed his hand back tightly, tears rolling down her cheeks. Her head lay on his chest, savouring the sound of his heartbeat, she knew too soon her father would rip her away from him. "I-its okay", she whispered.
"Look, he's getting better, its okay".
She shook her head, "What is there to learn?". -
His eyes opened lightly and he started to breathe slowly. He started to feel better. Alot better.
Gwen smiled and the tears slowed.
Ben glared. "That life isn't fair. " he went around Jane and picked his daughter up. "Back to your room, no arguing." He carried her away before he could hear anyone object. -
She didn't do anything, Linn simply lost the will to fight. Instead she let him take her away as she cried silently.
Cass kissed her forehead, "I think we should carry him to his room". -
Ben kept walking, he did feel a bit of hurt, but he soon got to her room and threw her onto her bed. "Stay here." He closed the door behind him.
Gwen nodded and stood up slowly. She helped James up and held him up by one side.
James groaned lightly. "Linn....is she...okay...?" -
She scooted on to the bed, grabbing one of the pillows she clutched onto it tightly, closing her eyes, "At least he's okay.."
Cass didn't answer as he helped James up on his other side. -
Ben kept walking and got back to his room he landed on the bed.
Gwen started walking carefully. "S-she's okay James. D-don't worry."
James kept going in and out of consciousness. "Good....she's okay...." -
Jane walked into their room and sat silently on the bed next to him.
Soon they made it back to the house, and placed him gently on the bed, "Y-yeah, she's fine...she loves you, J-James", Cass told his son.
For a while, Linn sat hugging the pillow until finally, she made the choice to do something. Omce again, disobeying her father's orders, she climbed out the window and left her room. -
He smiled lightly and winced. "Good...I love her too..." He started to drift off slowly.
Gwen smiled lightly. "Let's leave him to sleep Cass...he needs it." She tugged on her husband's wrist.
Ben looked at her. "What Jane?" -
"Alright", he smiled a little and followed after her.
Linn found the window to James' room, she climbed in and smiled a little, seeing him sleeping peacefully.
She sighed, and leaned her head against the wall, "What's happened to you Ben? Your trying to control everything". -
Gwen chuckled. "Come on let's take Audrey out to eat for a bit. Maybe they have sweet buns."
James moved in his sleep but not by much. He was breathing calmly.
"I'm not controlling everything. I'm trying to protect her Jane." He sat up. "We've been over this."
