Leafkit yowled a little, feeling a bit of blood drip down her shoulder. She felt its beak graze her shoulder. She then took a mighty leap and dangled from the ledge. "Foxkit!"
The first eagle was swooping down, losing altitude on purpose. She (yes, a SHE) then landed on the ground, looking up, seeing her prey on the ledge. Yes, she thought. She flapped up beside the second one. "Mine!" She yelled, knocking into it. -
The eagle rammed into the other one, and yelled, "Then I get the other one!"
Foxkit ran out of the cave, intending to help, when the second eagle swooped down.
The eagle grabbed Foxkit with his talons, and began to beat his mighty wings to gain altitude. Foxkit struggled, trying to twist out of his grip, but to no avail. The eagle was soon high in the air, and Foxkit gave up.
(No, she won't die. I have the whole thing already planned out. I've had it for a long time. I just needed a cat to do it on.) -
(okay)
The first one screeched. "No, I don't want that scrawny old thing!" She fell silent and followed. "Eh, whatever. that one's scrawny too." She flapped beside him.
Leafkit gasped, and tried to follow. She tripped over a rock and fell, skidding over the rock, scraping her face. She pressed her paw to the wound. "Foxkit!" She cried, stretching out a paw as if she could grab her from the cat' talons. -
*eagle's
not cat's.))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) -
The male eagle flew to the top of the mountain, where his nest was. He landed on a lone tree, and dropped the kit in a nest made up of twigs. "I'll go find more prey. This kit's too scrawny." The he took off.
Foxkit cowered down in the nest, and closed her eyes, waiting for the end. -
The female eagle shrugged. "I'll keep watch. You know what I told you about not killing prey whenever you catch it!" She sat down in the nest. "Better not think about jumping. it's a long way down.." She stared off into the distance.
(Her name is now... Jambu!!!)
Leafkit closed her eyes, too. She stretched out a paw and cried again. -
Foxkit began to cry quietly. There was pain from where the eagle had ripped fur and skin from where it had grabbed her, but the pain from her predicament was too much for her to bare.
-
Jambu ignored her. You mustn't feel bad for prey... she reminded herself, casting the small creature a sideways glance.
(what's gonna happen and how should Jambu react?)
Leafkit decided to hide inside the cave so she wouldn't get carried off. She wanted to be ALIVE when she went to save her sister later on. -
(She's gonna slip out of the nest later on, as hunting will take a while. Jambu can do what she want's as long as she doesn't kill her. As for harming her/getting her back, we can discuss that when it comes to that.)
Foxkit continued to weep. -
(okay!
Time-skip to late at night when she can escape?)
Jambu got in a comfortable spot. The small mammal seemed to be sad, but ofcourse all prey was when they realized that they have been captured by fat, evil eagles. With big talons and sharp beaks.
Leafkit cried herself to a light sleep. -
(Yep! TIME SKIP! *Presses button on magic Stopwatch and...*)
Foxkit had stopped crying by nightfall.
The male eagle, named Forho, was having no luck hunting. -
(yess!)
Jambu folded her wings. It was late at night, the best hunting time for nighthawks and moths. She was too sleepy from flying all day to hunt, though.
Leafkit woke with a start. She didn't know how long she had been sleepy. Her face was sticky with tears. She peered outside. She gasped as she saw the moon up. "No! I'm too late!"
(how will she find Leafkit?) -
(How about Foxkit is able to get down the tree and away, but faints from exhaustion not too far away from Leafkit?)
Foxkit looked up, her mind cleared of grief. She had only 1 goal now: Escape. -
(sure!)
Jambu blinked her eyes closed, drowsy. She tucked her head under her wing, forgetting about her prey.
Leafkit couldn't cry anymore. It was like she had no tears left.
Same for Finchbreeze. She yowled, "They've been gone for two days now!" -
Now Snowflake was really starting to panic.
Foxkit could see Jambu was falling asleep. Knowing it was now or never, she climbed over the side of the nest, and onto the branches that held it up.
