Ravenstar jumped on the highrock to do the apprentice ceremony.

Hollyclaw smiled at her apprentice. -
So did Dustfur.
Clawkit looked at his mentor. "Okay, when are we gonna start? And are you sure you can train an apprentice as good as me? I expected Ravenstar to be my mentor!" -
"As good as you?" Hollyclaw muttered under her breath. Then, louder, she meowed, "I was thinking we should go train later, after you help take care of the elders!"

"The elders? Really? They do absolutely nothing and do nothing to help the clan, yet they get treated like gods."

"In their youth they helped the clan. They defended it, and fed it. We try to repay them for their seasons of service to the clan."

"Blag blah and they eat all our food too, and sit on their behinds all day."

Hollyclaw was chuckling inwardly. "And so did you, as a kit!"

"I would have helped the clan if i could, but because of my age i wasn't allowed to. The elders have a choise.

"You said you would have helped the clan? Then take care of the elders!"

"I did, by showing them they can do things on their own."1

"That's not taking care of them!"

"I helped other places in the clan."

"Oh, and where?"

"I got water, did all sorts of chores and even caught mice." Clawpaw lied.
