Ice knew that this was clan territory, but she was starving and very skinny. She slowly creeped down the trunk then spotted the mouse.

When he wasn't too far away, Flarepaw pounced, trapping the mouse between his paws. He swiftly bit it on the spine, killing it instantly.

Ice leaped a second too late and landed on some cat below. She unsheathed her claws.

Feeling a cat land on him, Flarepaw scrambled backwards, trying to shake the cat off. He still had the mouse in his jaws.

Ice flipped backwards and yelled "Don't hurt me!" She was cold and scared and she couldn't remember her last meal. She was in no shape to fight.

Flarepaw was preparing to attack when he saw the shape the cat was in. She's all skin and bones!

She fluffed up her fluffy tail and tried not to look at the mouse. "Which clan is this?"

"Cavernclan." Flarepaw replied. "Who are you?"

"Ice, a-a loner."

"I'm Flarepaw." He couldn't get over how skinny she was. He dropped the mouse down between his paws.

Ice glanced around. "So you're not going to attack me or anything?" She straightened up a little bit.

"No, I'm not... are you hungry? I could catch another mouse if you want tgis one." He pushed it toward her with his paw.

"Uh, sure..." She crouches down next to the mouse and starts to eat it. It's gone in seconds. "Thanks!"

Flarepaw just smiled and stayed silent.

Ice looks up at him. "So, like, how many cats are in your clan?"
