Anthony hopped out and started to walk next to her.

It was so bright out... she looked down, and regretted it, the sun shining back on the pavement.

He squinted a little. "Ehlers. My last name is Ehlers."

"Well, Anthony Ehlers, it's nice to meet you." She tried to find something less painful to look at.

"Nice to meet you too, Diane." he said as his eyes adjusted to the sun.

"So..." She trailed off.

"It's bright out here."

She nodded. "Wanna go check out some of those houses?"

"Oh yeah." he nodded.

She headed up to one, standing on the porch for a little while and trying to open the locked door.

"Need help with that?"

She shook her head, backing up and kicking it down. Learning martial arts was one of the best things she could've done.

Anthony looked inside. "Looks nice."

She nodded. "Better than the van, for sure."

"Yeah." he stepped forward and got a closer look.
