"What I did there, was a much stronger form of this." He took his attention from the leaf to Rithe, making it fall down gracefully.
"I think my anger made that happen." -
That would be lovely. x3
Rithe shrugged.
"Well, it's been proven useful." she said with a sigh. "And I guess it means I was right about you being a danger to society." she added with a smirk. -
(lol....next time we'll have to skip to the end of the story.)
~And they finally found a city......~ -
Or we could not. :D
Rithe looked around the crowded street with dulling silver eyes. For the longest time, she'd hoped they would reach civilization soon, and yet now that they were there, the scene seemed harsh and false.
"This is just great. We landed smack-dab in the middle of a slum." -
Pardon me a moment, Papa. Gotta go be productive.
-
(We could not what? Skip?)
Marcus looked around uncomfortably. For a long time he was only used to seeing sand, trees and, ugh, crabs. Now, all these people...it felt really weird.
"Slum....hmmm....something doesn't feel right about this place." The look of the people...the houses...they didn't seem normal. So many things ruined. -
(Not sure if you left or gonna brb, but ok.)
-
Skip to the end. x3 Sorry I took so long, I had to wash the dishes. I'll have to go again in a bit, but it can wait, and it won't take nearly as long.
Rithe nodded in agreement, taking a step into the street.
"This is definitely bad. I don't think anywhere would be allowed to just look like this. The government would have it fixed up if it were in this bad of condition. So what's taking 'em?" -
(It's ok. I don't have a life so I'll wait.)
"I think we should figure it out." Marcus approached a man who looked to be in a rush, and tried to get his attention.
"Excuse me, sir."
The man turned around and looked at Marcus in a not so friendly manner. Maybe it was Marcus's clothes that disgusted him, or maybe his messy appearance. But this place wasn't any better either.
"Has anything happened here recently?" Marcus asked.
The man blinked and gave Marcus a meaningful look. As if Marcus had just asked the most stupid question.
"They are advancing, the enemy. This city will fall to their hands soon." He said and hurried along. -
x3 I finished the other thing, too, now. Now it's just a matter of my sister forcing me to get off. e3e
Rithe stayed behind Marcus and blinked, crossing her arms.
"Doomsday theorist?" she muttered, staring after the man thoughtfully. -
(I bet she'll use the first chance to take your place. Stay cautious.)
"He had a point...Just look around. There might have been a war here." So many ruins. And so many people rushing...as if trying to get as far away as possible from this place. -
Will do, Papa. >:3
"But what happened? If there's so much destruction..." Rithe paused to examine a shattered window, poking at the sharp edges still jutting from the sill. "..then why are they still here? These idiots don't know the meaning of self-prreservation." she muttered coldly, turning to face Marcus again. "And anyway, when did this start? We've not been away so long, surely?" -
(*sigh* I feel 45.)
"Maybe, maybe the city is being evacuated?" Seemed legit. From the look of things and how everybody looked so lost and in-rush.......great timing to reach civilisation after a long time.
"No more than 2 weeks since we woke up in that dark room. But only god knows how long we'd been unconscious before that." -
Doooon't. You're too young to feel old. -3-
Rithe groaned at the thought of that. How long had they been there? There was really no way to know.
"So... should we.... leave?" -
(Ok maybe 43.)
"I think we should." If this city was gonna be attacked, staying here would only mean death wish.
