She pulled away and looked into his eyes. "Hm...."

"Hm?" He looked at her.
Meanwhile, a few of the betas investigated the forest for his body. -
"I like you..." she whispered.

"I hope so, I would've been disappointed if you didn't."

She smiled at him. "Good."

Outside, the betas had followed his scent to the edge of the woods. He heard them coming near the house. He flopped down on the couch, pulling her down with him.

"What?" she asked.

"Just a few members of my pack, trying to find me and get rid of me if I'm still alive..." Atlas shrugged.

"They wont come in the house, will they?" she asked, a little bit concerned.

"As long as you locked the door... they're not going to break in... too much trouble." He listened for them outside.

"Yea, I did." she said.

He heard them outside, pacing around. Eventually he heard their human voices, knowing that they'd transformed.

Sara heard human voices. "Oh, s---."

He put his hand over her mouth, listening.
"The scent just stops. Right here." A female voice said.
"Well duh, because she took him away." A male grumbled. "Probably to a human hospital or something."
Another male voice chuckled. "They'll figure out that he's not human pretty soon... it's fine. At least, if he's not dead yet. Those wounds were pretty bad."
