"Ah." That seemed a little strange to her, but then again, she was always watching for the sun.

He smiled, actually enjoying himself for once, it was the first time he'd actually went out for dinner in a long while.

"So... now what?" she asked quietly.

"Hm? Oh, uh, I'll walk you back to the aparments, if you'd like."

"Um... alright." She smiled a little.

As they started to walk Erik was trying to think of another way to spark a conversation. "So, um.."

There was something weird. She could smell it. However, she tried to ignore it. "We should do this again sometime."

"We definately should!" He smiled at the thought.

She stopped. It was too strong now to ignore. She looked around, trying to determine where it was coming from.

He looked at her. "Something wrong?"

"Stay with me," she whispered in a faint Scottish accent, grabbing his hand tightly and leading him across the street, going into the alley. Sure enough, she found a dead body. A young man, who was probably a few years younger than Erik.

"Um..ok.." He said, when he saw the body, he almost didn't care, until a split second later he remembered, he's human and had a grotesque look on his face as he stared at the body, speechless.

She knelt down next to the body, starting to investigate. "Another vampire attack?" she breathed.

He quickly ran behind a garbage can and let out all the food he had just eaten.

She continued, not paying attention to him. She looked up, smelling the air again. "Erik...?" she called, in the same accent as before.
