I think I've figured out Alter's problem.
He's obviously a politician. -
He's too dumb to be a politician.
-
No. Politicians are pretty stupid. And they ignore whatever doesn't support their theory.

Alter2Ego NewbieALTER2EGO -to- EVERYONE:
Atheists worship various things, including the following:
1. Science: They lap up just about everything the scientific community dreams up, including macroevolution myth for which there is no evidence in the fossils record and big bang theory for which there isn't a shred of evidence and is based off the speculations of atheist scientists.
2. Humanity: Atheists are Secular Humanist by default because they claim they are driven by a love for humanity and that they don't need a supernatural God or gods telling them what to do. Their religious ideology is "Secular Humanism."
DEFINITION OF "HUMANISM":
1. the quality of being human; human nature
2. any system of thought or action based on the nature, interests, and ideals of humanity; specif., a modern, nontheistic, rationalist movement that holds that humanity is capable of self-fulfillment, ethical conduct, etc. WITHOUT RECOURSE TO SUPERNATURALISM

"Love for humanity"?
Right now, I hate the human race. -.- -
No. Sorry, but no. Atheists do not worship science. Science, unlike gods worshipped by theists, can be wrong, and scientists try to prove things right or wrong through experimentation. There is evidence for theories, it's just not enough evidence to prove it a law. If there were no evidence, the big bang theory would just be the big bang. "Theory" is like an earned title. And I hate most other humans and kinda wish most would just die so I wouldn't have to deal with them.
You, sir, know not what you are talking about. -
Butterflykitten NewbieHow is having no religion a religion? I don't worship science, I just find it interesting.
-
It would be the Big Bang Hypothesis. In science, everything has started at the Hypothesis stage, since that's the time when someone asks a question, experiments and tests it, then writes a conclusion based on the evidence and information. Then again, don't know why I typed all that because it's something you learn way back in elementary school. ._.
-
Whoever Alter is, he obviously didn't go to school, otherwise he'd know that.
-
I meant about the whole difference between a theory and law and stuff like that. In parochial schools they don't focus too much on the Big Bang or a lot about stuff that could disprove their religion.

ALTER2EGO -to- EVERYONE:
Below is another partial quotation from the Wisconcon Federal Court dealing with the imprisoned atheist who wanted to form his own religious study group while in prison. As usual, keep your eyes on the words in bold print within the quotation.
---------------------------------------419 F.3d 678------------------------------------
-------------------James J. KAUFMAN, Plaintiff-Appellant,----------------------
--------------------------------------v.--------------------------------------------
--------------Gary R. McCAUGHTRY, et al., Defendants-Appellees.-------------
--------------------------------No. 04-1914.-------------------------------------
-----------United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit.--------------------
--------------------Submitted October 26, 2004.*------------------------------
--------------------Decided August 19, 2005.-----------------------------------
Without venturing too far into the realm of the philosophical, we have suggested in the past that when a person sincerely holds beliefs dealing with issues of "ultimate concern" that for her occupy a "place parallel to that filled by . . . God in traditionally religious persons," those beliefs represent her religion. Fleischfresser v. Dirs. of Sch. Dist. 200, 15 F.3d 680, 688 n. 5 (7th Cir.1994) (internal citation and quotation omitted); see also Welsh v. United States, 398 U.S. 333, 340, 90 S.Ct. 1792, 26 L.Ed.2d 308 (1970); United States v. Seeger, 380 U.S. 163, 184-88, 85 S.Ct. 850, 13 L.Ed.2d 733 (1965). We have already indicated that atheism may be considered, in this specialized sense, a religion. See Reed v. Great Lakes Cos., 330 F.3d 931, 934 (7th Cir.2003) ("If we think of religion as taking a position on divinity, then atheism is indeed a form of religion."). Kaufman claims that his atheist beliefs play a central role in his life, and the defendants do not dispute that his beliefs are deeply and sincerely held.

ALTER2EGO -to- EVERYONE:
Notice the position of the Court above in the first bolded portion:
"If we think of religion as taking a position on divinity, then atheism is indeed a form of religion."
You couldn't get any clearer than that. Notice what the Court ends up stating in the last portion bolded within the above quotation:
"Kaufman claims that his atheist beliefs play a central role in his life...."
Folks, anything that plays a central role in one's life, by definition, is defined as "religion". This is confirmed at Definition #5 below.
DEFINITION OF "RELIGION":
1. belief in, worship of, or obedience to a supernatural power or powers considered to be divine or to have control of human destiny
2. any formal or institutionalized expression of such belief: the Christian religion
3. the attitude and feeling of one who believes in a transcendent controlling power or powers
4. chiefly RC Church the way of life determined by the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience entered upon by monks, friars, and nuns: to enter religion
5. something of overwhelming importance to a person: football is his religion
6. archaic
a. the practice of sacred ritual observances
b. sacred rites and ceremonies"

People, do you understand now why atheists get on this forum obsessed with discrediting the Bible and Almighty God Jehovah? It's because they are trying to gain new recruits to the Religion of Atheism. Why? Because like Kaufman, their atheist beliefs play a central role in their lives. People don't get on a "RELIGION" forum arguing against God obsessively, like the atheists do, unless they view Jehovah as an enemy to their false Religion of Atheism.
Just about every website where I debate, the Religion forums are overrun by rabid atheists. Charles Darwin's book Origin of Species is their Bible with occasional updates from the scientific community, science is their god, and evolution theory and secular humanism are their religious doctrines.
