I think it is not a proper subject in school. Here's what I think : I'm Catholic, who cares? I don't believe in the devil, and I don't believe in the stories in the Bible. They seem too unrealistic. I'm starting to wonder whether God is real..

A lot of the Bible stories are meant to be taken symbolically. I mean, when reading the Bible one must take into account the time period it was written in and understand the symbolism in it. That's all I can tell you.

2 Kings 2:23-24: 42
"Elisha left Jericho to go to Bethel and on the way some boys came out of a town and made fun of him. "Get out of here, Baldy!" they shouted. Elisha turned around, glared at them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys to pieces."
Hmm.. Yes... Symbolic. -
I have my own religion. So I don't have to worry about all that stuff. :P

rascal: only the parables are. not the rest. the rest did really happen.
barberbob: you weren't there, I don't think you know. -
@unexpected So you honestly believe the entire book of Genesis happened, word for word, as it says in the Bible instead of evolution?
-
rascal, all I can tell you is that I know what I believe. I know that the Bible was written by man, but under the influence of God. I do believe what happened in the book of Genesis did happen, and no, I do not believe in evolution- as scientists state. I believe in adaption, the gene pool, science, but I also believe that based on the book of Genesis, religion and science back each other up. Some of our scientists might just be looking at things a different way.
