In my church priests have been talking about how the new healthcare law disrespects the Church's rights because it makes Catholic charities and originations offer abortions. I don't know if this is true or not and I want to read it for myself because I know a lot of the time some of the church leaders will lash out against something without actually reading it fully first or just go by one man's word. Can someone give me link to where I could read it? I have no idea where I could even find that. If it truly does contain what the priests have been saying, I'd like to hear a few opinions on that as well. Thanks!

The basics is that health care facilities would be required to also do abortions. Churches are complaining that the religiously founded ones shouldn't have to.
The health care facilities are not bound by the religion. They do not only serve that specific religion. They are bound by the laws the same way as any other PUBLIC SERVICE.
If your priest is talking to you about this in church, first of all he's an unethical priest for trying to sway political opinions in church.
And second of all he's ignorant for thinking that Christianity gets special privileges over the law. -
Ah, I see, thanks.
And it's outside of church that my priests have talked about it, but at other parishes I've heard them talk in mass. -
Yeah, one of my friends goes to a Catholic Church. One of the priests went on a rant about how Obama is assaulting religious freedom, and half the congregation walked out. As it turns out, even Catholics know that their religious freedom ends when they're enforcing their moral code on others. You can say that Obama is a big-government socialist as you want, but the fact of the matter is that if you want to enforce your religious veiws on others, you're a straight-up fascist.

If they don't want to sell medicine, they need to stay out of the medical business.

Agreed. I can't stand other Catholics who try to force our religion down other's throats. It makes me feel disgusting to even know that type of person. I'll talk about my religion with other's and state why I believe it, but I won't tell them they HAVE to believe in my religion or they're going to Hell. Even if someone doesn't believe in the Christian God then shouldn't they be able to go to Heaven anyway if they're a good person? I mean, God is supposedly merciful.
