I've heard christians saying that the only way to make it to heaven is to except Jesus as your personal savior, meaning you have to believe in God and Jesus. So what I want to know is, say if God did exist (I'm atheist), what would happen to all the good atheist. They didn't believe in god so would they go to hell even if they have done nothing wrong in there life? Please explain!

In my belief (which is not Christianity, or any other organized religion), you go to the good side of the afterlife as long as you haven't done anything by which evil might take you, and you would know if that had happened.
So no matter what religion you follow, to me you still go to "heaven" if you don't fall into the void...
...makes no sense, I know. -
If you refuse to accept Jesus as your savior and turn away from God you will not enter heaven. If you turn your back on God, God will turn His back on you. You will face eternal separation from God.

Anyway, I think you have to believe in God (even just a little) and be a good person to enter heaven. This is just what I think. -
I'm not gonna go to heaven. I'm gonna come back as a different being on a different planet and live as one of my fan characters...

JesusIsTheWay NewbiePut it this way if a person that u do not know walked up to u and said"Hey, I'm a good person let me in ur home I want to live here" would u let him. No u have to develop like a friendship or know him before he can come in. Same thing with God.

That was a horrible analogy JITW.
First off, that would require he ACTUALLY SHOW UP.
Second off, that's exactly what you're expecting us to do. You expect us to let a foreign idea into our lives without actually liking the guy.
Third off, the analogy is incorrect. A better version would be,
You're sitting there watching a tv report about another murder that happened in your town. When suddenly a guy holding a bloody knife knocks on your door and expects you to do what he says and obey him. All your neighbors like this guy but they get mad any time you point out the fact that he's always there whenever something bad happens in your town.
Would you let that guy into your house? -
So basically JITW, you're saying that even though good is supposed to be good, if you have been good all your life and don't believe in god, you go to hell? That doesn't sound like something a good person does. And I think barberbob is right.

JesusIsTheWay NewbieI'm saying that even if u are so good u never smoke steal fornicate.... U have still sinned and u need to accept Jesus into ur life, other wise no heaven for u, see u need to be a christian and go through troubles that will make a more wise and experienced Christian, ur robe is whiter than white then u can go to heaven.

MoonlightNinja NewbieUm, JITW, I think you're going a bit over board. I love God with all my heart, but yeah people sin, even if they're the nicest person in the world. But my 2 best friends are really good, they aren't Christian like you or me, but they do believe there is a God. They don't accept him fully, but they believe He does exist.
I ain't going against you or anything. But maybe you can explain it gently... I dunno if that makes sense. God loves us all, and is saddened when someone turns against him. We are all His children. I'm not putting words is His mouth or anything, so please tell my if I'm wrong kindly. I'm still young and much to learn about our religion. -
Kendall NewbieI know lots of good people that aren't Christian. They aren't going to go to hell. Probably purgatory (you know, the place you go to be purified before going to heaven?). So, you don't necessarily have to be a Catholic to go to heaven... in my opinion.

It's rude to say that anyway, I mean, that's like saying Gid is judging you by your beliefs. He doesn't, but some of his believers do sadly.
No offense to any Christain reading this, because as I said, I am also a fellow Christain.
