@barberbob2: It seems to me that you're mainly focusing on the old testament. That means that that's how people did things before Jesus died on the cross. When Jesus died on the cross he died for our sins. Because he did that there's no need to do things that way anymore. Have you ever heard the story about Jesus meeting Mary Magdalene? Or about the story of Saul becoming the Apostle Paul? The stories are in the begining of the new testament. You should read them. :)

And honestly, Earth is Hell. Nothing can get much worse, especially since I can almost guarantee what Hell brings, and quite frankly, I'm not afraid to ride the highway to Hell. I'm not afraid to one day die and be rejected from Heaven. -
I know a lot about Christianity because I spent half of my life as one, I actually learned religion instead of following blindly, and I keep myself educated because of the people who try and use it against me.
And whilst in most cases I can easily respect a level playing field, counting all sin equally seems very childish and petty. It sounds like he's not willing to actually get involved in his own problems. "This is how things are, and I don't want to hear anything about it." A rapist is regarded the same as a thief? Seriously? Is that how he's operating now? And you people actually regard that as "perfect"?
"You stole $20 from your mothers purse. Go to hell." The f---? You know, for a religion that claims to be perfect and loving, there's a lot of sheer and blind hatred there. And further more, there is no feesable way you can explain your God or your actions where you actually sound like good guys. I don't know if you've ever just thought about that fact in your spare time, but it's true. Do you people just turn a blind eye to that rearing and ugly truth all the time? Or do you accept the malice and contempt in your God and claim him as "perfect and loving" anyways?
In either case, you're making yourself the scum of the earth, and since I don't believe that I'll live forever in complacency, I'd appreciate it if you stopped littering my home with your ignorance. Thank you. -
JesusIsTheWay NewbieIt is better that u did not know God at all than for u to know Him and backslide and end up in hell, the punishment then is two fold. Please turn back to Jesus, there must have been something u did wrong during the first time believe Him and He will correct all imperfections. I'll pray for u.
