They spoke of great lakes of fire and of Satan. They told me how I would be tormented for all eternity in a place I don't even believe exists.
So I told them my definition of hell.
Hell is religious ignorance and prosecution. The friend who can't speak with you because of you're not Christian, or the family who demands that you're wrong for speaking your mind and breaks apart when they can't "save you". Hell is being ostracized for simply thinking. Being told how wrong you are by people who can't support themselves. Being told you're going to burn for eternity by people who claim to be loving.
Hell is when you realize how much better the world could have been if there was never a heaven.

You know how people say the road to hell is paved with good intentions? I believe hell is a world without good intentions.
