For starters, I live with my Grand Parents. My grandpa is agnostic and doesn't really care what I believe in. My grandma however is very heavily Christian and doesn't like the idea of me being atheist. She hasn't even come to terms with it yet, so she honestly thinks that I just need a little pushing here and there.
Usually it's in the form of her leaving pamphlets or poems on my bed or dresser for me to find later. On occasion she even tries to talk me into going to church. I don't mind these. I tuck the pamphlets away for a couple days to make her feel like I actually read it. Or I act like I actually feel sympathy when I tell her I don't want to go.
I have spent the past week at my dad's house. In 100+ degree weather, moving furniture, watching kids, and spending time actually with my Dad having father son time. Today I came home.
I went up to my bedroom expecting to find the usual poem, or a new cross on my dresser. But no. I didn't find that. Instead I noticed that my grandma had taken down a picture of myself I had on my wall, and had instead replaced it with another picture. The picture was of an iron cross with a deep red background which matched my room. But there was also a message written to the left of the cross.[quote]"Blessed is he who believes without seeing. John 20:29"
What bothers me about this is I feel like it's a bit of a dig towards me. And even if it's not, it's the fact that she hung a picture in my room without my consent. A religious picture when she knows full well that I am not a religious person.
I took the picture down and laid it face down on my bed. Later, when I'm not so tired, I'm going to talk to her about it. This was going a little too far. -
Damnit

That is going to far. Even if she doesn't like your religious choices, she should respect them and accept them. You're an adult, and you have the right to make your own choices.

That's a complete douche...

Atheist is not the religious equivalent of 'single and looking'.

Set traps up in your room so when your grandma comes in she'll fall right into it :D Oh, boy, that would be freakin' hilarious! LOL ha ha ha.
You know, pranking would be a good thing to do if you're REALLY pissed off at your grandma :D
