Thread Topic: I have a question
-
tori109 NoviceHuh
-
"I just find it funny that it seems to always be Christianity that is mocked and proven wrong. What about Hinduism, Islam, Judaism?" Everyone here I've encountered who is vocal about their religion is a Christian. I just fight whatever I have to fight on a given day.
-
tori109 NoviceWell thats a good question
-
No Tori, I didn't think you were rude :)
And Bob, you'd be surprised. You go to Pakistan right now and tell me if you get shot or not for not being Muslim. Christianity may have a bad habit of forcing their beliefs down the throats of others, but they're not the only ones: every believer is guilty of it.
And to both you and Tongue, I wasn't directing it at you two specifically. You guys at least have some interesting facts to share....it's the others that won't shut up about how they're Atheists, as if it's the "in" thing, or something. -
tori109 NoviceThanks Nikki
-
like I said nikki, I haven't had the opportunity to encounter one in a debate myself. I am fully aware of the violence they commit in countries where they are predominant. But Christianity is predominant here, so I deal with the violence from them instead.
-
tori109 NoviceWe don't kill you though......
-
I'm half-Jewish, so some of my ancestors have actually been killed by Christians, but that's neither here nor there.
-
Tori, a few months ago an Atheist doctor was shot in the face by a Christian Extremist because he performed abortions.
Let's not also forget all the homosexuals murdered, or fire bombings of public places because they are "an abomination to our Lord." -
tori109 NoviceWell are you dead?
-
tori109 NoviceDon't blame our religion because someone was sick in thr head and didn't know what he was doing, or the people that killed the homos, they are sck and need help...
So don't blame christianity -
Christianity is the root of it though, Tori.

I've made this point before. And think about how heartless your first statement was. "Well are you dead?" No I'm not. But plenty others like me are. And the negativity of religion isn't only linked to the extremists. Religion as a whole causes hatred and intolerance. The fact that no two theists can agree about religion should be a major warning sign already about how unreliable and falsifiable it is. But yet that doesn't seem to stop you. No. I have never hated religious people. They're people just like me and I can respect that. I hate what their God makes them do. What their faith makes them act like. Look at your last two posts and ask yourself, is that really you? -
tori109 NoviceI didnt mean to be heartless.
-
tori109 NoviceWell not really........
