Um, well I'm a Bible-believing Christian, believing Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and died as the sacrifice for the world, so we can go to heaven. That God is a loving and pure God, and that he has a plan for us all. That Satan caused all sin and confusion into the world. I know that Christians get a bad rep because of many rude and sinful followers, but the beliefs and God itself is pure and true. All of humanity has fallen, and that includes Christians. But God loves us enough to try and give us peace again, that we can through our own free will choose to trust him or not. It really isn't about 'you're being damned to hell because you're a bad person' crap, it's whether or not you want to serve and believe in an all loving, good, and pure God. Heaven is good because it's with him, the essence of all good, and hell is bad because it's total absence of him.
I know that most people think I'm stupid for believing that, but I've felt it with all my heart. I've felt the Holy Spirit come into my heart. I don't let anyone influence my beliefs, especially other Christians. I read the Bible, pray and try to live a life of kindness and giving. I mess up a lot, but that doesn't mean God hates me or thinks I'm stupid. I'd honestly rather be a servant to the God I believe in then a servant to this hard, cold world. And also, God doesn't hate sinners or non-believers. He wants to come into everyone's life and have a spiritual relationship with them. No matter what anyone's done, God will always be there with arms wide open, the blunt truth of how it is, but the kindness to take care of us and teach us. Like a truly good and pure Father.
And I believe God is genderless, and just the ultimate Holy spirit. We just say 'he' because in the English language it's just a more personal term than 'it'. He's not sexist. He doesn't believe women are lower than men. He took a 'rib' from Adam, which I interpret as not lower or higher, but close to his heart. We're equal. We're all God's children.
So that's what I believe. Wholeheartedly. :3 -
Anastasia's right we are all God's children. My family is Mormon. We believe the same things. We also believe man should not be in trouble for Adam's transgression.

im a seventh day adventist we believe in the sabbath and we go to church on satuday

I am the exact opposite of Ana and everyone else who has posted here. I am an atheist. I put my faith in what can be scientifically proven. Where as religion relies on blind faith and unsupportable claims of supernatural deitys doing everything, I follow what science can prove. I believe in what I can actually see with my own eyes and not what a 2,000 year old book says.
Sceince and religion both claim to know how things work. But unlike religion, science will actually go do the research to prove its claim and support itself. And if what we originally thought to be correct, ends up being proven wrong, we will actually admit it and learn. Science is not a religion. Atheism is not a religion. Atheism is the understanding of science and the knowledge that all religion can be explained without the need for supernatural influence. -
irishlass17 Newbie@barber 2 i'm glad that i got everone's input but i'd like more input

In some ways, you can class me in as agnostic, but really, I am everything and nothing at once.
I believe ina higher being, a supreme reason for existence, which many might consider God. I beleive in mind over body, that if you can think it and focus enough, you can create your reality. I beleive wholeheartedly in karma, that what goes around comes around and that improving your karma is essential to life. I beleive in the basic morals of all religions: be kind to others, listen to your conscience, don't lie, etc. I believe that all insight and inspiration can be found within nature. I believe that there is an afterlife, where I choose to either be reincarnated or to live up in a heaven-like lace for eternity. Finally (but not-so finally), I beleive that everyone and everything is connected, through the mind (which is my explanation to suck things as clairovoyance, psychics, intuition, etc.). Life is a cycle, in my opinion.
I don't belong to ay organized religion, and neither do you. Believe in whatever feels right for you, whether it's your own explanation from your imagination, or an organised religion like judaism. The choice is up to you. -
irishlass17 Newbie@ nikki you are right about it being my choice but i like to learn about different religions

I don't particularly like religion. I think it did some good at one point, but humanity should be past the phase of its existence where it need a book to guide them morally, or an imaginery man in the sky to explain their world. We've made enough scientific discoveries over time to explain our world in a way that doesn't require the presence of a diety, but really, all you need to do is observe and contemplate the world around, and if you have even a shred of reason, you should be able to conclude there is no God.

If there is a God, he obviously disowned me.

irishlass17 Newbie@ madid why do you say that

"God" is whatever you believe him to be, if you believe he is the ruler of all mankind then he is exactly that, I'm sure you have heard the phrase "What you believe is true".
So a Christain believes God is the supreme ruler, some believe he is simply in the hearts of others, and some (like my friends Bob and Tongue here) don't believe in God whatsoever...
Thats their belief, and its true, so if you going to ask people for their opinions on religion, they will just tell you what they believe and if you do choose a religion was it from the bottom of your heart or because of the way these people stated their beliefs? You need to think for yourself (because even Christains have different beliefs) and you can learn about religions by googling them up... I don't know whether I helped or was just blabbering nonsense -
irishlass17 Newbie@ kish don't worry you weren't babbleing nonsense there is one thing i believe about god for sure. god doesn't hate people who have feelings for there own gender i have seen on the news people protesting soldiers fenurals holding signs that say stuff like god hates gays saying stuff like they will burn in hell it's not right i think the only ones who are going to burn is them.
