@Appa: The second time you've used that joke, and still I laugh xD
...I need to read that goddamn book, actually... -
All of my efforts... shrugged off by the blissfully oblivious and thick headed.
-
I bravoed you D:

I know Ting. But all the people who the message was actually meant for. All the people who believe that "God has a plan for everything". They all simply ignored the facts. They ignored the proof and the reasoning and logic put against them. They shrugged it all of and remain in their blissful imaginary world. It hurts, you know?

PEOPLE. Y U NO READ. -
Because they physically cant comprehend it.
Think about it. Tying your shoes is a simple task. A no brainer. But to a young child, the task is near impossible. It's because their brains arent conditioned to understand it. until they actually walk the steps themselves, it isnt even concievable. Theists are the same way. Their minds deny the possibility of no god because they havent actually gone through the steps of understand how it cant exist. To them, the godless universe is either scary or pointless. And they cant comprehend that it isnt scary and that pointless isnt a bad thing. They physically cannot do it because they dont know how to let go. And until they actually do the research and are willing to look at it with an open mind, they will always sit in their misserable little corner of illusionary falseness. -
Well damn, sorry you don't like 42 jokes.
By the way, I have looked at it. Call me a moron or whatever the hell you want to call me, but I'll believe in any "stupid" thing I want to believe in. It doesn't mean I've denied the validity of science. -
No. You havent. Science isnt what you're denying appay. For you it's something different. From what I've been able to tell, you're denying logic and historical facts. Neither of which are related greatly to science, but both of which are still crucial.
Trying to base any arguement off of the bible or any religios text instantly makes said arguement null and void because of the cliche innacuracies portrayed in religios texts and the true historical corruption in those texts. This is where historical facts come in.
Realizing the fact that the hypocricy that you are worshiping is quickly delapidating, the fact that you were indoctrinated into a belief based around fear and secrecy, and that the very concept of said belief supports denial and thick headedness, is where the logic comes in. -
And if you deny the denial in either of those, then I'm sorry. I might be wrong.
But please tell me, in your own words, why you believe in God? -
tongue AdvancedFacts and science are definitely important. People always defend God by saying they don't need proof to believe in Him. By that logic you could just as easily believe a giant purple dragon created the universe. If you wanna believe in something that can't be proven, fine. You can't prove that all humans are basically good, but that doesn't make it a bad thing to believe.
-
tongue AdvancedBasically I would just ask any theist to accept some science and facts, like evolution, or that the HPV vaccine doesn't cause Down Syndrome.
-
theistic beliefs are usually based off of fear and ignorance. The fear that the bible might be wrong, and the ignorance to find out for sure.
I have yet to meet a theist who in some way didnt do that at some point.
Fear leads to anger, anger to hatered, and hatered to suffering. This is why most theists are antaganistic towards anyone who they dont deem as "okay". And why they seem so misserable if they arent in the comfort of others like them. Most theists I know will avoid me because I am an atheist and have gay friends. Those two concepts are uncomfortable to them because they cant associate themselves. It's been indoctrinated since birth to feel and think that way. -
Gurpreet93 NewbieAs a persoin who is religious and believes in God I truly believe in you!!!:-)
