Leah, correct me if I'm wrong, but werent you one of the religios people who complained that if nonreligios would leave you alone that you would leave them alone?
I'm not talking about your thread, I actually think it's funny because of the people who's quotes you chose. Not to mention throwing your own in there to associate yourself with them.
Your pal, Sherwood Eddy, was a missionary who from the age of 40 to 63 went around the middle east and tried to convert people to christianity, not to mention writing books on the subject of his "Revolutionary Christianity". It also might be nice to notice that his 'tactics' were to go to countries that were at war and convert the people in poverty. He never went to anyone who could kick him out or had the education to tell him off. It was always third world countries or people in poverty.
Thomas Aquinas on the other hand was an Italian preast who was a self proclaimed doctor and theologist. His works are most credited for modern theology in the sense that most modern theologists are against his writings. Especially on the topics of ethics, natural law, metaphysics, and political theory. The only reason he still holds any fame at all is because his works are a requirement for preasthood.
Swami Vivekananda was raised to be religios practically since birth. His mother constantly reinforcing his religios belief. He was even sent to train from a guru at a young age. After his guru died he spent years as a wondering monk before he sailed to chicago. He is acredited with the revival of hinduism in India and the start of it in America.
So the people you are quoting are eastern and western missionaries, and a theologist who is mocked by modern theology. I think it's even funnier that you associated yourself with them by throwing in your own quote. :P

"Leah, correct me if I'm wrong, but werent you one of the religios people who complained that if nonreligios would leave you alone that you would leave them alone?"
Your mistaken. I never once claimed to be one of those people.
I receive the impression that you perceive my association with these people in a negative light, considering their past. My association with them are mere quotes that simply sum up aspects of religion and faith, which I'm reasonably knowledgeable of, that are subjected to common debate, whether it be on this forum or from my own personal experiences. Unfortunately, I frankly struggle to show any interest in the past occurrences of their lives' as I don't think they have any reason, or purpose rather, in my point. But simply the quote and the importance of its meaning.
Furthermore, as for my association with them, excluding their past and only including their quotes and its meaning, that's as far as my association with them will go.
Have you notice my quote has a considerable space between the others?
A reasonable conclusion, I thought, to religion and faith and all it's trials and tribulations, knowing that we religious and faithful people may see the glorious end of what God promised.
I, for one, struggle to see the humour behind any of that.
