The earth...don't they teach that in science class? As I understand it, huge chunks of rock orbited a star and the smashed in to each other because that's just what happens and they eventually formed a whole bunch of planets which also crashed into each other a lot until there were like what? Seven survivors? One of them was earth. Earth: The Making Of A Planet. Good show. Watch it.
