human beings originated from a species of apes refered to as homo erectus. we have evolved into homo sapian over time.
Also, evolution isnt the idea that flaws are worked out in a species. Evolution is the idea that a species will adapt to survive. Is there really such a thing as a flaw in any species? That requires there to have actually been a divine creator for there to be a flaw in a species. Which in itself debates the idea that a divine creator would be all divine in the first place.
Further more, they dont have to be replaced or go extinct. Not all environments are identical. Parts of the same species can adapt to different environments differently. So where as one group may develope higher in intelegent and decrease in physical aptitude, the same species in a different location may require a higher physical aptitude and less requirements for a higher intelegence.
Monkeys still exist simply because they are doing well. There is nothing out there that is causing the monkeys to reproduce less or their numbers to dwindle. They are well suited to their environments and have no real need to advance mentally at the same rate as humans. -

you're right brit. Humans were from a different location. But that isnt the only thing that was taken into consideration. Evolution is the simple principle that if you survive to mate, those genes will be in the next generation.

tongue AdvancedMore or less. My atheism isn't based so much in science and empirical knowledge as it is emotion and rational knowledge. You would say God doesn't exist and back it up with scientific evidence. I would say God doesn't exist and back it up by pointing out all the bad s--- in the world that happens.
