Stars die, planets end, and galaxies collapse. Eventually there wont be anything left to dissapear. All the energy that exists in the universe will be free and unbound. At that point, we will return to nothing.

Isn't there a sister star that is predicted to take over after the sun?

after our sun? The nearest star is lightyears away. When our sun runs out of fuel, it will collapse, probably consume the inner planets, and the gas giants will be blown away.

Yeah, our sun will swell up into a red giant, consuming earth before it finally implodes and leaves nothing but the white dwarf in its wake.

The end of time is a weird concept to me.
Maybe if I thought over it harder. Or maybe I'm just a moron when it comes to this stuff.
Like there's a beginning, and an end, but then what was before that beginning, and how exactly the heck did it get in the picture...mindf---!
But things like this interest me so I'll try to think it over harder. -

this doesn't make sense, well what will come after the end of the world? a new one? I'm not sure, but do you think something else will start when the world and everything ends?

Dragon, you're looking at this as if the earth is the only thing out there. When we are destroyed, the rest of the universe will move on. Our sun will be only one of countless billions to have gone through the same process.
And as for everything ending, who says it will? When a star collapses, it produces enough raw materials for a new one to form. When a planet dies, there is still the raw materials it was made out of. The universe will never truely end. That is thinking far too narrowmindedly.
