A man is stuck on a roof during a flood. He prays to God for help. A canoe comes by and offers a ride.
The man replies, "No, I am waiting for God to save me."
A raft comes by and offers a ride.
The man replies, "No, I am waiting for God to save me."
Days pass and the man eventually dies. He asks God why he didn't get saved. God replies, "Didn't you see? I sent help more than once."
Look beyond the obvious. -

I've read this so many times and I just don't get it xP

It means that God doesn't just reach giant hands out of the sky and pick people up. The help sent will not be THAT obvious.
