Thread Topic: What I believe...
-
I believe that human intelligence and power has a limit. It's like a balloon; put too much water in it and it just gets heavier and strained until it eventually breaks. This is true with so many other things. So... I believe that it really doesn't matter what we believe, we'll never get it right! Â Therefore, I do not believe in any god, goddess or otherwise. At the same time, I do. I consider everything a possibility, even just a slim possibility. I also believe that all ideas are equal in probability. Since I believe that humans are NOT the superior beings, I think that it would be not so different than believing in a magical unicorn god than a human like one. If we wish to find the answers to everything, it'd be better just to sit and observed the world unbiased, weighing the options. All options are true until proven otherwise...all people are innocent until proven guilty. If you look for ways to prove your theory, you won't learn anything, because you know what you're trying to prove. It's like falling in love; you don't know what you're looking for until you have it. Of course, that won't stop millions of people from fantasizing about their perfect man/woman. Truth is, we have no control over who we fall in love with.
If you disagree with me, please know that I am not offended. -
you state,
"All opinions are true until proven otherwise"
Scientology and athiesm state,
"We'll believe what we can prove. Until it is proven, we wont acknowledge it."
Opposite sides of the same coin. -
Is no one else going to read this? It took a long time to write and then my Internet died so I had to wait two more days to post this. READ PEOPLE!!!!!! Jeez!
-
I read this, but I honestly don't know what point your trying to make. You kinda were all over the place. no offense
-
kid, that made NO sense whatsoever.
First you go from laws, to unicorn gods, then forbidden love
WTF? -
I understand it, and I respect your point of view
It makes sense, and I see why it's your point of view -
I know. I don't understand it. Sorry. None of my thoughts make sense so I'll rewrite it. But it all makes sense in the world of nonsense.
Crap. I think I'm on drugs. Anything I say comes out screwed up like h*ll -
In other words...I suck at explaining things.
-
I never really had expectations of what God looks like, just that there is one.
He could look like a freaking Flandre Scarlet-winged Klingon for all I know, but that really doesn't matter to me.
Flandre Scarlet -
I read it, and although you do have some good points.
But I will continue to believe in God. In my mind, he is a superior being... he isn't human in my mind.
We all do need to find our own proof of either side. That's what I got out of your rant, and I think I agree. If that wasn't your point, please tell me lol. -
Also I only believe God came as a human (Jesus) for the same reason he came as a man.
Could have just as easily been anything else, but that choice would have the most influence.
Back then women, lions, and Flangons didn't have that much influence, you know? -
ILikeCowz Newbie"We'll believe what we can prove. Until it is proven, we wont acknowledge it."I'm an athiest
