Thread Topic: The "big bang" theory...?

It's still called that, right? They didn't come up with a new scientific-ish name for it, did they? :/
Whatever. Anyway, I don't believe in it, and not just because I'm a christian. Even if I wasn't a christian...I just find it kind of hard to believe that everything - the stars, the planets, us, the animals, plants, the entire universe - came from a random explosion that came out of nowhere. >. -
*>.
-
tongue AdvancedYou're an idiot. Don't talk about global warming or the big bang or anything else scientific. Christians have no business talking about science.
-
I'm putting my smart face on right now.
If we were to actually look into the big bang theory, we would soon discover the following:
Nothing + Nothing = Explosion
Explosion = Life
So....
Nothing = Life? -
:/ My religion doesn't affect the way I think about or see things.
Maybe slightly, but the only reason I don't believe in the big bang theory is just because I find it hard to believe that an explosion out of nowhere made the universe. >. -
johninMI NewbieWell, if you can't use religion as a crutch, you must be truly retarded.
-
I believe God created it - although I don't know how he created it, and most likely nobody ever will.
Heck, maybe he used the "big bang" to create the universe.
Or maybe christians are totally wrong, and there's another universe called ponyland or something, and then one day the ponies got bored and decided to make an experiment that turned out as this universe.
Or something.
Even if it wasn't made by God, I think it came from intelligent design.
The ponies really did put us here, for all I know. -
tongue AdvancedAgree with John. Emma too. And if we're really gonna talk about something from nothing, then where the hell does God come from?
-
johninMI NewbieMy brother actually wrote that last thing. Very mature Jimmy. I think the big bang is a possible explanation for the Earth's existance, but God could also be involved. So basically I'm neutral.
-
Wether he's called God or not, I think the universe came from an intelligent designer. Heck knows where he came from - I just find it more believable than the fact that life came from a random explosion out of nowhere.
-
johninMI NewbieI'm brother is 15. LOL yea he's pretty different from me.
-
I made a theory from ponies. I feel really annoying and random now. 8/
-
I don't feel like being called a retarded, ignorant git, so I'll say the Big Bang Theory is pretty damn reasonable. Because it's about better than anything anyone else can think of.
-
I believe God created whatever "randomly" banged into each other and created a universe.
Go ahead and hate on me for believing. It just goes to show I have more faith and can explain my belief without having to call the other person an idiot. -
Out of nowhere? The BB theory is that all the matter became pushed together (or something like that) and caused an explosion. And that sounds pretty much right to me.
Yes, I believe in God yet I believe in the Big Bang theory. :P
I do think God had some part in it, but the BB theory seems pretty reasonable to me.
