I believe in God because I've felt His presence in my life and He has helped me in things I could not have done alone, but also because I believe Christianity is the most scientifically sound. Some people have religions for the same reason, or for comfort, or simply because it's what they're used to. Hope this helps ^^

It's based on values for me. My Paganism derives deeply from appreciation of our world, my ancestors, myself, and other beings here on this planet.
So, values may be a high reason as well -
christianity cud i grew up centered around the idea of God, but never believed it until He started showing me signs and stuff + as an addition, i've never felt happier and more comforted within my relationship with Jesus:D

I'm not sure if a god DOES exist, as I have never had an encounter with one. I am spiritual but not religious if that makes sense.
