Thread Topic: God had actually done many awful things.

1. God had claimed to be all powerful, but could not stop the devil from taking over the world. Why allow something bad as that, then throw people in hell for a major flaw you created? No one really had set will and were supposed to sin. Does that actually make heaven a raffle draw?
2. He created his own worst ememy. Okay, that tells that even God never had foresight and never regarded the human race as anything close to importance, what intention did God have growing the very one who would one day hurt the ones he claimed to love?
3. He isnt all loving, taking credit for stuff that happened out of pure chance or hard work, then refuses to be held responsible for the bad things that happen to innocent children and people that have done nothing to deserve them?
4. He has little to no control, and is unable to help us in our darkest times, only when he feels like it or when people think he is helping them.
5. He is partial, discriminatory and even encourages people to hurt themselves to stop them from sinning, not failing to point out the horrific end he plans for people who tells as much of a lie. Evil indeed, for such a life. A true father would never do that to his children.
6. Did he really need the blood on the doorstep thingy? Why not m####r them yourself with your own hands? Why at night?
7. Did God need to eliminate people to prove a sick point? Sit back and let terrible stuff happen?
Mind has been bothered, but felt this would relieve my stress a little. -
Do you think that if God wanted anything done, and didn't need us to do it, would we exist?
Question for you -
*didn't want us

If I may
God created everything, and everything he creates was perfect when he made it. We were given our own free will, and with that free will, just as Satan chose, we sinned and made ourselves imperfect. We had one rule to follow, and that was to simply obey God. Even angels have freewill to disobey God. That's how we ended up with demons. Satan turned angles away from God and made his own army, just as he tempted Adam and Eve to sin in the garden of Eden. By trying to gain as much knowledge as God himself so they, too, could be gods, they cursed the whole world. We are all desendants of these two sinful people, thus we were born from sin, but even as we are born imperfect, God has plans for us. We still have freewill to either follow him or not. Hell is the place for punishment if we sin and follow the path of the Devil. The world will not be perfect until Good returns to fix it. But for now, God let's us live in this world because we can help make a difference. God didn't yank us out this messed up world caused by the sin of humans because he wants us to learn and know that he provides for us. He wants us to know that he is here with us, and even in chaos, he can turn it into something good. It was the arrogance of Adam and Eve that made the world the way it is. We're here to remember why God is God, Creator and Master of all. God had a plan from the beginning. He knew we would sin, but he didn't take our freewill because he wants us all to have a choice. He doesn't force us to listen to him, but we will be punished in the end if we don't.
God uses the darkest times to test our faith and love towards him. It's so easy to love him when things are good, but it's also easy to forget we need him when our lives feel perfect. God will not always take away suffering in this life, but for every pain you endure here, you will be rewarded in Heaven.
God doesn't encourage people to hurt themselves. If it is punishment, he will allow spirits to enter people or persuade them to harm themselves.
God didn't murder the Egyptians because the whole point of using such "strange" methods was so that the Egyptians knew that he was God, and it wasn't just a mere coincidence that they were destroyed.
Because we still have to inhabit the world, God destroyed the most sinful nations to give people a place and a chance to start anew.
God doesn't do anything without reason, and while many say it can't be proven, it is rather we do not have the capacity to fully understand, and when he returns to create a new Heaven and Earth, he will reveal all that we once didn't understand. -
@Strife i honestly cannot thank you enough for this. Your words have given me hope and allowed me reason from a different perspective.

strife pretty much summed up all the points i would have made and doubled it lmao
god created all creation, and with that creation he made them sentient and gave them freewill. freewill is a choice; with choices comes decisions that stem from the creation, not the creator
think about the 2/3 of the world that doesn't have freedom. their free speech is limited, in north korea they're trapped in one location, and they don't have freewill; the laws are set and are unable to be broken because they don't have a choice
meanwhile in countries that allow freedom, laws are set but you have a choice to break them, though there will be consequences, such as prison, etc
it's the same thing with god. everything that happens on earth isn't his fault, it's his creation's actions. but in the end, like prison, how there's a consequence for crimes, sin is considered crimes, so hell is the eternal prison in the end BECAUSE it was the creation's choice
hope this makes sense, im ablittle awful at explaining lmao -
I have a question ๐โโ๏ธ
Why did God destroy the Egyptians for slavery, but not the British or Spanish?????
Like what was the difference? Why did God let one happen and not the other??
Sorry if this is offensive in any way I am genuinely curious about this and google wonโt give me a straight answer. -
Because the Egyptians and slavery happened before Jesus Christ came to die for our sins. When he died on the cross, that was the mark of a new chance of life from everyone alive then and up until now, and even after us. As I mentioned, God allows us the chance to not repeat history, but as we choose to, the same things can and will happen, as it is prophesied in the last days of this world that we will repeat sins and make them worse than before. The punishment of all who incouraged, partook in, and inabled slavery in this day and age is Hell, eternal suffering after their death. Jesus dide give us all of our lives to turn to God, but if we choose not to, we will suffer for our wrongdoing, in the end.

Ohhhhh that makes a lot of sense u r much better at explaining Christianity than google!
Thank you! -
Cartradora, please dont ask those questions in this thread.
@Espie thanks, but it is actually his fault. Does he not know that we are all destined to sin because it is our nature?
I might have to end the discussion here, and go on with the first answer in mind, since yours makes me really scared for people that didnt break the laws on purpose, or those that did it for a better reason. Or the ones that never got to recieve salvation before they went. -
But thanks, all the same.
