jesus hung out with sex workers and I think that was chill but I'm personally not a fan of his dad so gonna have to say I'm not into christianity. Still unsure what gods I vibe with tho.
-
I will also say, I have personal issues with Christianity, due to my heritage, and my culture having lost a large amount of its information because it was deemed as “ blasphemous” or “unholy”.
That doesn’t sit well with me, because religious oppression is not gucci -

Not funny @Hephaestuschild! -
I mean, strictly speaking Jesus was chill, and did hang out with sex workers,
-
But,,, he literally hung out with whores? It's true? I was christian for like, 14 years of my life.

Matthew 9:10-11: While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
Luke 15:1-2: Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
"sinners" was a word they used for prostitutes at the time. So yeah, it literally wasn't a joke -
Wow, a lot has happened since I last looked at this. ;)
As for Jesus hanging out with sinners and prostitutes, the Bible does say that he did. NOT to participate in their sinful ways, but because they were really hurting, broken people, who were missing something in their lives and he knew that He was what they needed. He LOVED the people, not their choices.
Actually the verses that breadboy69 brought up are exactly the ones I was thinking of. In the verses following, Jesus responds to the Pharisees' question and explains exactly what his purpose is.
Matthew 9: 12 "But when he [Jesus] heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick."
Perfect people aren't the ones who need healing, the hurt and the broken do.
(Now the truth is no human is perfect, and we all are in need of saving, which is why Jesus came for all of us, but I digress)
And in Luke 15: 3-7 Jesus tells this parable to show his point:
" 3 So He spoke this parable to them, saying:
4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance."
Those people, though they were sinners, were so important to him that he went after them, even after they had lost their way. And if they choose to turn around and follow the Shepherd instead of their own sinful ways, all of heaven rejoices with Jesus that his sheep is now safe where it belongs.
I think that's one of the things I love most about my God: he never gives up on you. He loves you so much that no matter how many times you mess up, no matter how lost you get, he still follows you, waiting for you to turn around and come into his safe, loving arms.
That's why I decided to follow Jesus. <3
That, and I didn't want to go to hell. -
@Hephaestuschild I'm a little curious by what you mean about "not being a fan of his dad". I assume you mean God as in God the Father, and I'm curious as to why you don't believe in him. (only if you feel like sharing <3)
-
@Puppet master12, which Bible stories do you think are stolen, and what makes you think that they are?
(while I have heard this claim before, I am wondering what your personal take on it is)
Also I hope you don't mind a few questions about your religion...I'm genuinely curious and want to understand better. (however, if you don't feel like explaining, that's fine <3)
When you say you worship most of the Irish pantheon, how exactly do you do that? (and why only most of them?)
What made you decide to worship them?
What convinces you that they still exist?
As for the Dagda, what is he like? What does he do?
Why do you think he's worth following? -
I believe in Irene.
-
@Emo, that’s not a real goddess. Irene is a Divine Warrior, now formally a Human as she had reawaken in Aphmau’s body, in Minecraft Diaries and MyStreet from Aphmau/Jessica. Lady Irene is fictional.

Oh. Thanks for telling me.
